LOD (due to elevation of steep hills/cliffs). Probably unnecessary, but I think I'll do it anyway. Not replacing the entire Commonwealth LOD, just the Quad area.
The pre-assembled and previs geometry of the exterior was completely rebuilt, both for the two units of settlement and those surrounding it.
The interiors have also been optimized to include pre-assembled and prefabricated spaces, as well as room boundaries and portals.
Clean with FO4Edit
Settlers can be sent to settlements. This mode needs to be started in a new game, otherwise you will start with 20% settlement happiness and will encounter settlers and other problems.
Tested using Transfer Settlements, works great. The only problem is "passing the collaborators". After importing my billing project and launching it, you have to go to all the "pass-through" connections and select them to turn on and off so that Workshop recognizes them as power connections. I'll upload my settlement blueprint as an example. I'm not the best decorator, but it will give you something to start with if you want.
Another problem if you have the "Settlement Ambush Kit" (Creation Club, I know, I know... :( ) is that if you import two baits from Transfer Settlements, it seems like I have to completely scrap them and then rebuild them, otherwise their toggle functionality seems to be the opposite of what they should be. (On is Off, Off is On). Weird.
In addition to the 4 edge markers, at least 5 or 6 enemy spawn header markers have been added (sometimes it's also used as a spawn). This makes the Settlement Ambush Kit very interesting.
Existing lights in settlements may be deprecated and corresponding light sources disappear.
With the exception of the two main concrete buildings, most of the rest can be scraped off. Don't worry about scraping away brush or large trees. These have custom scrap recipes and are not part of the pre-mix, so will not cause performance issues.
Finally, 4 gunners and 1 attack dog need to be eliminated before using the workshop. The key inside is that the shooter is named Steve. NOTE: Make sure to get his inventory before 10 minutes or they will disappear from the game (be disabled). If this happens, there is an extra key somewhere under the floor foundation. :)
Notice:
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you use any kind of scrapping mode or use these settings under Fallout4Custom.ini you will encounter the following issues:
bUseCombinedObjects = 0
bUsePreCulledObjects = 0
What you are doing is turning off Fallout 4's optimizations. This can cause major problems over time, especially on older PCs.
This results in framerate drops, void-like (white) artifacts and static objects disappearing from the game, and in some cases causes CTD.
After building a ton of settlement items in the game, I'm still getting between 45 and 60 frames per second. For comparison, these are the specs of my PC (it's a few years old, haha.):

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
