Updated on October 1st:
Version 1.2.4
Fixed weapons having animated components, mainly noticeable during NPC displays and large load sequences.
The mod keeps its own copy of the preview model instead of using the game itself.
Fixed custom slot missing weapons after loading a save.
Custom slots no longer lose weapons when adding, removing, or reordering addons.
Weapons with custom slots are now completely ignored by the Collection Wheel and Equipped Weapon slots, they will only show up in the custom slot.
Fixed weapon not showing up after leaving Power Armor until you selected the weapon.
Closing a slot now means nothing is displayed in that slot. It is no longer moved to other timeslots.
Fixed the editor being unable to draw when another mod recreates the game's swap chain.
When the editor is opened, the status of the overlay is written to the log.
The settings are saved to the actual location in the ini, rather than overwriting a new copy every time you save.
ini is no longer rewritten when the game starts because there are no changes to the game.
Two new features have been added for modders. Other F4SE mods can now show or hide the display, one in first person and one in third person.
Updated on September 4th:
Version 1.2.3
Nodes hidden in NIF now remain hidden, as well as everything underneath
Added a global display/hide switch for Wepaon special effects
Modders can hide any part of the weapon by giving this node a child node named [CHWIgnored] (legacy) or [VFIgnored].
Effects drop-down menu replaced by hidden widget system
It lists every part shown in the holster, not just the special effects, so laser sights can be ticked on the grid without author markings
A new toggle function has been added to completely turn off the personal collection slot - equipped weapons will not be affected and the weapons will still go into their normal slots.
Shortcuts now trigger based on key events in the game itself
Custom weapon slots now have their own weapons. The Collection Wheel and Equipped Weapon slots no longer display a second copy of a weapon already in the custom slot.
Fixed ini lines for weapons of plugins, filenames starting with brackets (such as [XHX] and [ARRETH] types) are removed when loading
Added race list skeleton overrides. Any race with the same skeleton profile as a race in the race list will now automatically qualify
Internal cleaning channel
NOTE: The first save after this build will have an ini rewrite and the player weapon overlay is moved next to the other player section. Nothing is lost.
Visible Collection - F4SE" mode is inspired by modules such as B42 Holstered Bouncy Natural Boomsticks, Immersive Equipment Displays and Classic Holstered Weapons, displaying all collections, equipment and custom weapons/items of players and NPCs in a third-person perspective. Supports modified weapons, backpacks, power armor, armor layers, etc. through the in-game dynamic editor. Opened by Shift+right Ctrl by default.
How it works
Added 12 predefined body slots to match 12 favorite wheel slots.
The currently equipped weapon will be automatically displayed in the designated grid.
There are options to display on players and NPCs, All/Equipment Only/Disabled. Equipment condition is like a classic holstered weapon.
Modified weapons work right out of the box, and the workbench updates in real time.
The backpack is automatically recognized and the position can be adjusted based on backpack type, weapon, etc.
Multi-frame power armor support.
NPC has its own slot layout, you can choose which slot to put the weapo …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
