About this mod Machine translation
Added another reload animation when reloading when the magazine is not empty. First person only. Improved hand loading first and third person effects.
Updated to version 1.4 on March 15, 2024: Added animations for emptying the magazine and switching between speed and slow machine. You can still choose to use it according to your needs.
The TR files of the original weapons and DLC weapons have been uploaded at the same time (if you really want to use the original weapons)
Now repackaged 1.1, 1.32, 1.4 and the original weapon TR patch are uploaded together.
Updated Chinese version on January 26, 24 (to be precise, Settings/MCM Chinese version) address:
As the title suggests, Tactical Reload, which I often refer to as TR tactical reload, aims to add animated distinctions between complete reloading and mid-reloading for various weapons in the first-person perspective, just like the popular FPS in recent years.
Original introduction:
For those who don’t know, a tactical reload is when you reload your gun with still ammunition left in the magazine. If the magazine is empty, most guns require reloading by re-pulling the charging handle or bolt. Not all guns are like this, you'll notice that assault rifles don't require reloading.
This framework will add functionality to play such animations. This is not my idea, but i_code_i and HyperX should have proposed it first. They both know these actions better than me. They showed me how to edit the GunBehavior file. All credit goes to them, i_code_i was kind enough to let me upload this.
If you often use third-person shooting, then TR may not necessarily be suitable for you. After all, the distinction between this type of animation is still based on first-person shooting. If you are like me and prefer full first-person shooting, then this is the kind of plug-in that must be installed. Especially under the premise that the animation time of reloading midway is obviously shorter than the time of complete reloading, it is even more important to install TR.
The package contains version 1.1 and the latest version 1.32. The reason why these two are put together is that on the one hand, recent weapon modules are very diligent in supporting other plug-in updates, such as Spongebob's gorza. Putting them together also saves me the time of repeated uploads. On the other hand, I don't know other people's shooting perspective habits. Putting them together makes it easier for everyone to choose. I have not added the TR of the original weapon. If necessary, please download it from the original address.
The main difference between 1.1 and 1.32 is that 1.32, after inheriting the first-person reloading animation difference of 1.1, also experimentally supports the third-person reloading animation difference (as long as the TR patch of the weapon module is also version 1.32), you can choose to install it according to your personal needs.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
