Optimized cache hitter.
Updated on August 12th:
Version 1.2.0
Fixed original cache hit issue. It should now be on par with the National Guard and AE.
"Fallout 4" re-registers the same animation data every time an NPC enters a cell. If there is a heavy mod load sequence, there are 32,000+ redundant calls per load. The more weapons and animation modules there are, the more serious the lag will be, especially in a city like Diamond City where NPCs are constantly refreshed.
The plugin caches results at the engine level. When the game asks for calculated data, the cached answer is returned immediately. No re-registration is required and no CPU is wasted. Written in C++. Game files will not be modified.
Install
Install using your mod manager.
The game version is
Original/Next Gen/Anniversary Edition.
Note: OG adopts a fundamentally different event animation registration structure from NG/AE cut-off. The plugin will automatically adapt to these differences, but caching effects may be different in the original version. NG and AE provide complete testing benefits.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
