Simple Survival Game Save Hard mode save game
While the limited ability to save the game on Survival difficulty may add to the challenge and prevent you from the temptation to reload when things don't quite go your way, there's also the frustration of trying to stop the game at a certain point and then branching off in a different direction to try a different ending or a different outcome for certain missions. Or maybe you just want to try out a mod and go back to a previous save after you finish the mod, maybe you don't want the mod to be a permanent part of your game. Maybe you just want a backup in case your save gets corrupted but don't want to move the files manually.
Or maybe you're the kind of person who reloads a game when things aren't going right.
To address these issues, this mod now makes it easier to save your game while surviving. You no longer need to sleep in a bed.
ChemStation now offers the following to help you save your game
The Incomprehensible Project: AtomiCo Recordable Tape - This is a holotape that, when activated, creates a permanent save game file. This file is not deleted and is separate from the survival autosave.
AtomiCo Nuka-Vitality - This is a fraudulent, useless food supplement that forcibly triggers auto-save when you swallow the pill. It's like a chemical, but doesn't cause addiction, doesn't make you feel hungry, thirsty or tired, and is not depleting when used. Unlike holotape, this can be hotkeyed to a simulation quick save like any other chem/weapon/costume. Please note that this is not a true quicksave, you need to load it manually, and once the 3 newer autosaves appear, the files will also be deleted.
The mod can also be used in non-survival games, although it's a bit useless for it.
Compatibility: There shouldn't be any compatibility issues with any other mods. The mod just adds two new Craftable items with their own scripts, it doesn't edit anything in the game, it doesn't change other survival features like needing to eat, it doesn't edit things added by other mods, and it doesn't depend on other mods.

The chem station now offers the following craftable items to help you save your game:
AtomiCo Recordable Tape - This is a holotape that, when activated, creates a permanent save game file. This file will not be deleted and is separate from the Survival autosaves.
AtomiCo Nuka-Vitality - This is a fraudulent and otherwise useless food supplement that nevertheless forcibly triggers an autosave when you swallow a pill. This acts like a chem but doesn't cause an addiction, doesn't make you hungry, thirsty or tired and isn't consumed on use. Unlike the holotape this can be hotkeyed to a number as any other chem/weapon/clothing to emulate a quicksave. Note, this isn't a real quicksave, you will need to load manually and also the file is deleted once 3 newer autosaves appear.
The mod can be used on a non-Survival game as well, although it is kinda useless for it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
