Updated on October 21st:

Version 1.1.2

Formlist: Added IsPowerArmorBattery to RemoveItemsList to prevent fusion cores from being copied if you have a costume set up with a Gatling laser as part of it.

Scripting: Fixed a bug where equipment would not be applied to settlers when the player assigned them a new job via the Workshop Commands menu.

Scripting: Fixed bug so that any newly created clothing will now (if valid) be applied to unprotected NPCs who are not already equipped for that career type.

Scripting: Fixed a bug where the Male/Female/Any buttons on the Create Outfit menu were not working properly. Buttons now function as expected.

Version 1.1.1

Form list: Add ActorTypeChild to the ProhibitedKeywords form list. This fixes a bug where child settlers would be stripped to their underwear as the equipment process attempted to apply invalid clothing items to them.

Form List: Created RemoveItemsList form list. This is a set of keywords for matching items that are removed before the outfit is applied. Currently added ObjectTypeAmmo, ObjectTypeStimpack and ObjectTypeChem. This prevents the project duplication seen in v1.0.0 and reduces the script load introduced in v1.1.0. The slight drawback is that any chemicals or munitions previously on the NPC will be removed, regardless of whether they were added by the loadout.

MCM: Added support for new auto-refresh setting

Menu: Added new auto-refresh setting to Settings main menu

Menu: Added a button to the Outfitters main menu to trigger a refresh of settlement settler outfits. This setting only appears when Auto Refresh is off.

Scripting: Fixed a bug where mod-defined DefaultOutfit would be incorrectly applied to settlers (including companions) when no valid outfit was found.

Scripting: Fixed a bug that caused partial loading to not work as expected and could result in naked settlers.

Settings: Added a setting to turn on or off settlers' automatic refresh of outfits when the player enters a settlement. The default value is "on".

Version 1.1.0

Form List: Created ProhibitedKeywords form list "FEXXX858" to skip certain NPC types. Currently, this skips those NPCs with the ActorTypeTurret, ActorTypeRobot and ActorTypeAnimal keywords.

Gameplay: Added the ability to protect individual NPCs with additional prompts while crouching and weapon sheathing.

General: Set the mod version global variable to 2.0

MCM: Added page to manage NPC protection. This is a cleaner way to view them separately from other mod settings.

MCM: Added support for new settings.

Menu: Added Settings submenu to manage NPC protection. This is my easier way to add or remove future protection options.

Menu: Fixed a bug on the Settings menu where "Font Size 13" was incorrectly displayed on the top row.

Menu: Try to have a smooth transition in the View Outfit menu when entering the Edit Outfit option. Will not refresh unless edited.

Perk: Fixed bug where Outfitter Perk wasn't actually hidden.

Perks: Added the ability to toggle protection for individual settler NPCs to the hidden outfitter perk. Interact with settler NPCs while crouched and weapon sheathed.

Mission: Updated "Outfit Manager" to have additional validation checks for NPCs. (This overcomes a bug in v1.0 where it would try to apply outfits to NPCs that couldn't use them, such as Ashgarden bots)

Task: Updated Settings Manager to use additional protection options.

Scripting: Backend changed OutfitManagerScript to reduce external calls. Unlikely to be noticed by players, but should increase save life before many NPCs and costumes cause script lag.

Script: Added function to listen for Actors and automatically catch them when they are added to the Workshop.

Scripting: Fixed bug allowing players to properly delete costumes. Preliminary testing has …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
