Version 2.22.2

2.22.2 Hot fix

  • Fixed: Import could cause the game to crash when entering the stable phase - the plugin read the game's discarded settlement objects instead of skipping them
  • Fixed: On non-16:9 interfaces, the progress widget was truncated on the left - settlement names, stage text, bars and percentages were all clipped

2.22.1 Hot fix

  • Fixed: On old generation consoles, starting a new game - or adding a mod to a save where the mod never existed, including after a clean save when changing versions - would cause Transfer Settlement to request the Anniversary Edition of F4SE, not be able to find it, and eventually close automatically. Updates to save files already running the mod were never affected

2.22

  • The AE version is compatible with Fallout 4 1.11.240 and F4SE 0.7.9
  • The original version is compatible with "Fallout 4" 1.10.163 and F4SE 0.6.23
  • There is now an installer - the AIO FOMOD version is a one-time download that will ask you which version of Fallout 4 you are running and install the matching version so you never use the wrong game plug-in again. If you do not use the module manager, this module will also be packaged into two ordinary download packages, one is the anniversary version and the other is the old generation. Each version only contains its own version. The plug-in is in the data root node.
  • New: Pre-game diagnostics - a small plugin that runs before the game starts to check if the transferred settlement is installed correctly. If a problem is found, a window will open describing the problem in simple words and giving you a link to fix it; if everything is fine, it will be completely silent. It also comes as a separate download package that can be placed alongside any Transfer Settlements version, including older versions
  • HUD frames are now optional - progress widgets are drawn by shifting settlements. If HUD Framework is installed, the module will still be used and the appearance will not change. You can add or remove HUD Framework during the game.
  • The Holotapes are available again in the Anniversary Edition - since the next-gen update, it no longer opens the mod menu and only provides a way to travel and build terminals. It now opens the same main menu as before, and the text - header, version number, blueprint filename, settlement name - is filled in correctly again
  • New submenu: Build Terminal - The "Take me to the settlement" and "Build Terminal here" options have been moved to separate submenus above the settings. They are now available in both versions, whereas previously they were only available in the next-gen version, and they are hidden when you are already standing at the transfer settlement terminal
  • Added an option to rename the holotape: "Set holotape name", which can be found in the general settings of the MCM and the holotape itself - "Automatic", "Always with [settings] prefix" or "Always on top of the list" - automatically detects whether you have the sorting module installed and adds the [settings] prefix accordingly
  • Sim Settlements 2 Compatibility: In the current version of Sim Settlements 2, the export and import of SS2 settlements works normally, with one exception - the PLOTS import function is temporarily turned off. This relies on SS2 functionality that is not yet included in the current version of Settlement Simulator 2. Once Settlement Simulator 2 is installed with this feature in the upcoming Kinggath next "" update, story import will automatically turn on without any action on your part. Exporting plots is not affected, so your blueprints will continue to be recorded and imported after the SS2 update
  • Your options can no longer be chan …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
