How to implement (module author)
I've provided a sample plugin in the optional files that shows how to set it up. It contains quests, magic effects, spells, and globals that are used together to detect seasonal changes and run custom code. For your own plugin, just rename everything according to your own scheme (to prevent collisions with other mods, to avoid basing it on the example plugin - just change "example" in basically all cases), and modify the ReferenceAlias task script so that it does what you need it to do when the seasons change. The sample plugin adds a Debug.Notification ("Seasonal change detected") by default when the seasons change. Hopefully this process will be relatively simple and straightforward. A practical example of this framework is my icicle mod.
Please note: This framework is independent of seasonal changes. This framework will be used to implement Season Change in the future, but this framework is intended to provide modders with a general implementation of such functionality.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
