Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE):
Garden of Eden Papyrus Script Extender:
Updated on May 17th:
Version 1.46
Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where when dismantling multiple miscellaneous items in a container, only 1 item was left in the scrap.
Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where the error message would show that there were no items to recycle, even if you successfully recycle the item.
Updated on May 2nd:
Version 1.45
Bug Fixed: Fixed a system where trying to dismantle the Super Mutant version of armor would cause it to be added to the backpack, burdening you. The system now skips Super Mutant armor and armor with the "Player cannot equip" keyword. However, it may not be able to handle this against other enemies that have non-operable versions of the armor.
Update: When currently installed, when the game loads it will ask you if you want to remove Super Mutant's non-playable armor, or all armor with the playerCannotEquip keyword. The super mutant one is safer.
Updated on April 11th:
Version 1.44
Critical Fix: Fixed a malformed skill entry causing the game to crash on launch and/or save.
Version 1.43
Key bug fix: Removed OnHit event handling that was unconditioned and could terminate the packet capture process prematurely. Replacing hit detection with talents should allow for better detection of correct hits rather than the OnHit event that was problematic in spell/enchantment applications.
Version 1.42
Critical Fix: Found that armor's inventory detector detected FX effects when armor was on, causing an infinite loop when trying to remove it. I've added some checks that unlock more inoperable armor types.
Version 1.41
Bugfix: Fixed duplicate multiple multipoint (MCM) entries
Bugfix: Fixed disassembly of non-weapon/armor objects and getting the items back
Updated on April 10th:
Version 1.4
Bug fixed: Added different insurance codes in the widget itself.
Bug Fixed: Fixed some issues in the control code. It should be foolproof now
Bugfix: Fixed disassembly of single and stacked items
Bug Fix: Fixed issue with non-weapon/armor being unable to obtain the appropriate amount when dismantling
Bugfix: Fixed issue with MCM not working properly with certain options
Critical fix: Might have completely fixed the freezing issue! (RemoveAllItems is the function that freezes the game and has been removed now)
Balance: Added a new setting to make stripping mods effective at only 50%. The basic probability in MCM can be customized
Balance: Skill increases the chance of success in stripping mods. Custom multipliers are also in MCM. S7 chooses the armorer, gunsmith or blacksmith based on the items. Successful stripping of modules also yields skill experience points.
Balance: Added settings in MCM to speed up Papyrus code and controls
Updated on April 7th:
Version 1.3.1
Critical Fix: Fixed an infinite loop bug.
Critical Fix: Power armor frames are no longer disassembled (missing keyword check)
New feature: If you don't have your weapon or fist out yet, and you're seeing a dropped weapon or armor, you can try stripping the mod to get the loose mod (if you have one).
Updated on April 5, 2026:
Version 1.3
New feature: The plug-in is compatible with all game versions, no separate download required.
New Feature: Ash Heap Inventory can now be dismantled (difficult to do without PCL!)
New feature: Added 15 second rescue timer in case widgets get stuck
Feature removal: Papyrus Common Library (PCL) and dynamic activation keys are no longer used or required
Functional removal: Individual objects can no longer be dismantled. The only option now is to abolish it all. Destroying individual objects is just too buggy.
Critical Fix: Salvaging now rewards the same amount …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
