About this mod Machine translation
NOTE: Looks like I forgot I had bUseCombinedObjects = 0 under [General] in Fallout4.ini. Line grid editing won't work without ini editing, so if it doesn't show up in the game, that's why. If you're not using ini editing (which can cause significant performance hits in cities and similar areas), you'll also need esp. Download esp and one of the grids.
Someone asked if they could port this mod for XBox 1 and I gave permission, which can be found here: . Due to website limitations, it's only one version (from the description, it appears to be the no-pump, no-windows version).
EDIT: There have been some reports of it causing cell reset errors, so keep this in mind if you keep a bunch of power armor in there or use pre-existing containers. I haven't noticed it myself, it's only been reported in two reports so far (the last one was before I updated the esp). If it's actually causing the error, then there's not much I can do since the esp doesn't have to do a little more than it needs to to work (no ini editing), and the method I'm using is the same one as Spring that allows you to scrap things it's able to scrap (it reportedly doesn't cause reset errors). So if it causes a reset error, you can't edit the vanilla mesh without causing it. I don't think the ini version is causing the error (the first reports using esp, the second doesn't say that).
Just a mesh replacer, fix the red rocket, fix the logo and the molding around the exterior roof(?). There are two versions: one with all vanilla parts and the other with a hanging pump and a hemisphere on the ground. I copied the installation path structure so it should install with NMM, or just copy the "grid" folder into your data folder.
Compatibility: Should be compatible with almost everything. It's just mesh editing of a single mesh, so it will work fine for anything that doesn't touch the same mesh. This includes various Red Rocket retextures. Both esp versions should be compatible with almost everything.
NOTE: If you get the suspension pump version, its bumping is still there. Unfortunately, this is a large collision mesh, so there's no way I can (with my limited understanding of FO4 collision) change the collision mesh without removing it for the whole thing.
The only issue that can be found is Red Rocket's Glare. It's not a compatibility issue, but the changes he made to the material files used by the mesh caused some weird stretched textures on the parts I was editing. I figured out the cause and included the fix as an optional file (requires his mod, which just changed the material file, it didn't give the required glow map).
Fixed with 1.1.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
