This is an overhaul of my old Rangemaster. Each section has been spruced up in some way, and several new sections have been added as well as new features. It looks better, feels better and plays better.
The Colt Rangemaster was a civilian sporting rifle that was popular in the pre-war period and was roughly the same platform as our real-world AR-15. I designed my version to roughly resemble the real world AR-16 and 18 in an attempt to simplify the export platform for the AR-15/M16. The "standard" version of the core is set up to resemble the Fallout 1 and 2 variants, while the "Wasteland" portion creates a silhouette more similar to that found in Fallout Tactics. The top level of "Match" represents what professional shooters do with aftermarket parts.
Remember, this is not an assault rifle. It should be considered primarily a marksman rifle, but I did include an automatic receiver that can be configured similar to an assault rifle, or even a submachine gun if desired.
You can also try the New Vegas version.
Features
-A standard semi-automatic receiver array and an automatic receiver. It kicks like a mule, so the triple shot is your friend.
-Barrel and foregrip are separate, so 3 barrels and 4 foregrips
-4 stocks, plus a buttless option
-Wood material, black synthetic material and 4 faction paints
-5 muzzles
-5 tape options, plus one for no tape
-All standard and long-range sights, plus a medium scout scope and a set of competition aperture sights
-1 unique variant in unmarked missions
-Ammunition conversion options for 5.56, 5mm, .308, .45, .44, .38 and 10mm, as well as different magazine options depending on whether you're using rifle or pistol ammo. How it works is described in detail below.
- Damage adjustment options of 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% bonus.
- An alternative .esp if you like to keep it simple and do things more like the base game.
-Ha_ru's animations, originally made for AKM, they fit perfectly. No more HMAR animations means no more Nuka World DLC.
-Reloading sound effects are from NAvarro and also from AKM.
- Over 130 textures, handcrafted in GIMP, most 2k.

replacement patch
- Added two optional files to replace vanilla weapons, one for the shotgun and one for the battle rifle. These files only include a new plugin to replace the default plugin, you still need the main file or loose files for meshes, textures, materials, etc.
- Replacement patches work by replacing vanilla weapons in their base level list. Please note that this may cause conflicts with other mods that edit rated lists.
- Unique weapons will remain unchanged.
- Best for new games.
- Assault rifle replacement can be downloaded here.

Version 1.43
- Fixed audio issues when using a pistol caliber suppressor (the Xbox version of this update will be delayed by about 7-10 days until I can communicate again deleting the files on the old computer)

Version 1.42
-By popular demand, the recoil penalty on the automatic receiver has been removed and the recoil on various other components has been reduced by 10-50%. On inferior parts you might not notice, but automatic fire on mid- to high-end parts is now at least somewhat more controllable.
- Only one file containing the new .esp is included since no archive has been changed.

Version 1.41
- Sorry for another update so soon, just need a small fix for the new See Through Scopes to customize their crosshairs when using …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
