Updated on August 31st:
Version 0.9.3
repair:
Load and life cycle savings:
- Die in the same session → Load save CTD (Anniversary 1.11.191 / 221 / 240) - Physics actor pool is cleared again on save load (PreLoadGame / PostLoadGame / NewGame / GameLoaded), matching the 0.9.0 behavior of 1.10.163 and 1.10.984. Stale SimObj/Skull on Corpse reference no longer survives loading save
- Fast loading/pause menu loading after death in session - same fix; no need to exit to desktop before loading (0.9.1/0.9.2 workaround no longer required)
Actor and gender filtering (players):
- NPC only (NPC only=1) - player soft tissue is excluded, like other characters; previously the player was always forced into an update loop
- Male only/Female only - also applies to player characters (e.g. female PC turns on male only: no player physics effect)
- Players only - Intent unchanged; players will only be simulated if this filter is active
- Cell Switching - Players are no longer retained in the physical map when filter excludes them; no ghost simulation state after crossing external grid lines
- Player collision "always on" paths follow the same filter - easier to verify filter settings in testing
- Switching filters in the MCM or within a session via preset [Universal] still triggers a pool reload; excluded players are immediately exited and not restarted
Known limitations:
- cbp.dll must match your FO4 EXE (FOMOD checked 163/984/191/221/240). Death reload fix for the regressed anniversary build in 0.9.1+; 1.10.163 and 1.10.984 already reset the pool on load - this version aligns the behavior and releases filter fixes on all five DLLs
- Actor/Gender filters can be read from [Universal]ocbp.ini, or from [Universal] with loaded presets; with MCM=1 enabled, MCM Actor/Gender filters override the ini base - not from cbp_config.ini
- When NPC Only is enabled, the player does not have soft tissue physics (by design). Cell boundary player maintains Verlet continuity and only runs when the player can be tracked by the current filter
- Other limitations of 0.9.1 still apply (CBBE chest distance, detection of armor and preset layouts, gadget GPU requirements, etc.) - see the LPCE/Collision/Swimming/SGT feature description in the 0.9.1 changelog for details
The optional file OCBP LPCE 1.11.240 was updated on August 22 to adapt to the latest anniversary version:
Please read before installation:
Before MCM is updated, open cbp_config.ini and change EnableMCM to 0 in the [Plugin] section so that settings can be adjusted directly in this file.

Bone Binding and Companion:
- CTD when teleporting companion back (e.g. Heather) - Soft tissue updates no longer walk through the parent chain of broken bones after body 3D reconnection
- Companion/NPC skeleton reloading - if an actor's living skeleton root changes mid-session (teleport, flow), physics will cleanly unbind and rebind on the next frame instead of crashing
- Safer skeleton.nif lookups - prefer using live actor roots; parent tours have depth limits, invalid pointers are skipped (no access violations for dangling links)

Presets and Live Physics Editor (LPCE):
- Defaults in the editor finally match what you load - each body part (breast 2, lower thighs, etc.) displays its own number, rather than copying the previous part or the stale default from "ocbp.ini"
- Empty sections on the Body tab - Sections that also appear under Armor Attachments are no longer considered "Armor Only", so the body template will load thighs and similar parts
- Armor tag blank/zero - Armor parts resolve correctly; if the preset …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
