Updated on August 14th:
Version 1.04
-General fix for all conversations being terminated. This is due to an edge script bug that caused the scene to break by sending an additional EvaluatePackage call after ForceRefTo had already been executed, causing the scene to restart or enter a different scene. This is apparently a known engine issue, sorry
——Using the original package, not the one I made, the old package will be discarded
-If you update in the middle of the archive, try not to update in the middle of the conversation scene!
Updated on August 12th:
Version 1.03
- Fixed a weird issue with Danse in Fire Support where he would exit mid-conversation if you asked him "Who are the Brotherhood of Steel". For now I just ignore that scene so the mod will activate.
Updated on May 27th:
Version 1.02
- Set initial holotape add-on item to mute audio as it makes a sound when starting a new game which is annoying
Updated on May 23:
Version 1.01
- Fixed MCM reset NPC button so that AI packages can be evaluated correctly later
The -holotape reset NPC option also sends an evaluatepackage() call to the last NPC called
Chinese patch:

describe
Hate it when NPCs start walking away when you're talking to them? This mod forces NPCs to stay where they are! Should work with all mods, including Fallout London.
Installation instructions
- (Optional) Install MCM
-Install the mod!
You should receive the holotape upon first installation. If not, you can use the MCM to give you a holotape, or make a holotape at the Chem Station.
Main functions
There have been some attempts to fix this problem before, but according to my experience (the original author Sranger, the same below), the effect is not stable. This mod takes a tougher approach and applies an AI package to the NPC you're talking to that forces them to remain still.
Basically, what happens is that a certain NPC may have some conflicting AI packages, depending on the mission and location they belong to (such as a settlement). Those AI packages will let them move around in the conversation. This mod will check the NPC you are talking to when opening the dialogue menu, add them to a high priority task/AI pack, and force them to remain still. When the dialogue menu is closed, NPCs are deactivated and returned to their natural habitat.
The mod contains a holotape where you can switch the mod's AI pack on and off, and fix NPCs that may be stuck in the mod's AI pack by removing their aliases.
There is also an optional MCM page where you can configure mods in real time while talking to NPCs. This should apply the changes in real time.
Notes:
This mod may not always work and has some limitations. If the NPC's current AI package belongs to a very high priority task, it may not work properly. If there are multiple NPCs involved in the conversation scene, it will not apply to all NPCs, only the first NPC the player talks to in the scene.

compatibility:
This should work with all mission mods, such as SS2 and Fallout London. If it doesn't come to you right away, use MCM or make a hologram tape.
It works great with my other mod AFT Plus, one of its main features is multiple companion insertions in conversation scenes!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
