What's this?
NISTRON smart home systems provide unprecedented flexibility in deploying and controlling your residential lighting and machinery:
Control the lights in each room individually? Agree. Switching multiple lights in a room? Yes. Are there many buttons to control the stairwell lights on each floor? It doesn't matter. Need to control a wired machine from a remote location? examine. All this without a bunch of tangled wires crisscrossing it? Yes!
NISTRON smart home system can meet your needs!
What’s in it for me?
This mod currently adds 19 new NetLink/GCP enabled smart devices to your workshop build menu, divided into 4 new subcategories:
- 1 snap-capable and wirelessly powered smart button to easily control other NISTRON smart home devices.
- 1x Wireless powered smart light bulb.
- 1x Wireless powered smart industrial light.
- 1x Wireless powered smart architectural light.
- 12x wirelessly powered smart high-tech light (requires Picket Fences magazine to build).
- 2 wireless powered smart ceiling fans with lights.
- 1 wired smart push-in relay for controlling wired third party devices.
1.1 NEW: NISTRON SMART HOME Make your settlers happy! Each smart device now has 1 - 3 bonus happiness points.
Tell me how it works!
The basic premise is that smart devices always receive power from their shared grid. Each device is then individually engaged or disengaged via networked control of smart buttons. This means you can set up very complex lighting systems without running any extra wires:
While the system is very simple to set up and use, it is also very powerful: be sure to read all the additional documentation below.
Oh, and by the way: this mod integrates well with my Electrical and Electronic Engineering mod. You should check it out!
I want to support this mod!
If you like the NISTRON smart home system, I will be adding NetLink/GCP support for more lights and fixtures with DLC and other mods.
So please spread the word: tell all your friends about this radical innovation, post on reddit, link to it in your discord, comment on it on YouTube, and vote for MOTM.
If you would like to support a project in a specific mod, please let me know and I may create a patch or plugin. And, as always: don’t forget to endorse!

General usage information
- Create a shared power grid for your settlement (if you don't already have one).
- Build a central power plant by placing one or more generators and connecting them together.
- Strategically place wireless power radiators around settlements to achieve proper wireless (radiated) power coverage.
- Connect every radiator placed in your settlement to the power plant you built.
- I really recommend you use my fabulous EEE mod to set up your grid: it will come in handy.
- Not recommended, but if you are too lazy: try one of the mods with a wireless radiator with a range of 9999999999999.
- Place smart buttons and smart lights around your settlement, anywhere within wireless power range.
- Optional: Connect push-in relays for all wired loads you want to control over the network.
*Plug-in relays function like a regular switch box. However, push-in relays are not controlled by levers, but by smart buttons.
*Note: This is a wired device. It does not have wireless/radiated power capabilities.
*QoL Tip: Use the patch panel and buried wires from my …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
