Author's words:

I don't have much time for modding at the moment, so I decided to at least summarize and post some of the unreleased mods I've been working on.

This is one of them. Sadly, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles I originally wanted to put in it. But it works, which is still better than nothing, right?

I hope you enjoy it and that you'll click the approve button.

Thanks!

What is this?

A must-have for Federation rebuilders: a buildable map that shows 1) all settlements, even those added by mods, and 2) all supply lines, for all vanilla/DLC world spaces. Track your billing network and monitor all your workshops at a glance!

Color-coded lights provide an indication of each workshop's status: easily identify settlement attacks, food and/or water shortages, defense deficiencies, well-being issues, missing beds and even electrical issues. Additionally, detailed information about the workshops can be obtained directly from the map.

All maps are available in vanilla and satellite styles*, with natural and black anodized aluminum frames.

They're not cheap: you'll need 4 Fusion Cells and a bunch of other components to build one.

Includes MCM settings menu for easy configuration.

How to use it?

  • Partially install all prerequisite components as required. No, it won't work without them, but you probably already have most of the mods listed anyway.
  • Install this mod (ESLified ESP, no load order slots)
  • Find maps under the RESOURCES > LIVE SETTLEMENT MAPS category and build them in Workshop Mode.

-profit! ! !

  • You can uninstall this mod at any time.

To do this, just remove it from the load order and delete the MCM json file.

  • I highly recommend you install the Workshop Framework mod as well, as it will make the game track workshop stats more accurately.

It's no secret that the original game screwed up these stats, and this is also reflected in the Pipboy Workshop stats tab.

Since the map gets its stats from the game, this will help get more accurate warnings/warnings/alerts from the map.

  • Check if defense is insufficient

Open/close the Workshop to check if the defense is insufficient, calculated based on the following settings.

  • Defense calculations include local inventory

If enabled, food and water stored in the workshop will count towards the attack motivation value.

When using the BS Defense mod, you may need to disable this feature, depending on your BSDefence settings.

  • Defense Cuttoff value

Resolution Defense values above this value will never issue a warning for insufficient defense.

When using the BS Defense mod, you may need to make adjustments based on your BSDefence settings.

  • Delay in game event update

After receiving game events, the map script will delay processing for the specified time.

This is to prevent false updates when quickly turning on/off workshop mode, prevent multiple settlers from dying at the same time, etc.

  • Flag to check thread limit

To limit the number of threads, check if a specific registered workshop should be displayed on a specific map, and if so, the marked location.

Adjust this setting if you experience issues with script loading, timeouts, stack dumps, etc. Lower settings = less script system load + lower performance.

  • Workshop update thread limit: Limit the number of threads collecting workshop statistics on the map.

Note that for each statistics thread, an additional thread …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
