Updated on March 1, 2026:
Version 1.2
- New first-person single pistol shooting animation
->Enhance visual recoil when shooting.
- Jetpack hover animation.
- OHPWeaponBehavior.esm updated with minor fixes.
- Utility shotgun
- Main.ba2 compressed size (~23 to ~15mb) packaged by BSArchPro.
- Removed redundant animation and behavior files left over from previous/development versions.
Updated on November 11th:
Version 1.14
- Removed accidentally included behavior files that could conflict with other weapon animations.
- Added world model for laser sights so that they "turn off" when falling to the ground.
- General mesh cleaning and optimization.
Updated on September 14th:
Version 1.13
- Old Courser uniforms should now be able to have linings and ballistics.
- Attempt to fix Combat Sight crash. If it works please let me know.
Updated on September 7th:
Version 1.12
- Fixed aiming alignment. I accidentally broke them when I moved them closer to the screen.
- Made auto barrels use half the points in VATS since they don't burst fire (they use repeating semi-auto mode, not true full auto)
Updated on August 29th:
Version 1.11
- Fixed combat sight grid to stop crashing.
- Adjusted the Med Tek equipment grid to reduce clipping on the triple barrel option.
- Made projectile numbers use SET. No other method will work properly, even if the laser splitter uses MULT/ADD. Please tell me if you got the two shot legendary and if it got the second shot.
- Rebalanced reload speed. The longer/heavier the barrel, the slower the reload speed will be. Added to barrel description.
- Rebalanced car barrel speed and recoil. The best parts no longer have negative recoil and have more reasonable speeds.
- Added IngoreAccuracyBonusinUI keyword to shotgun barrels, like vanilla shotguns. Accuracy numbers and shot spread should feel more relevant.
- Added Modskill keywords to base weapons for compatibility with other mods that reference them.
- Slightly lowered the volume of reloading and other animation sounds
- Slight adjustments to accuracy values for sawing, rifling and autobarrels. These barrels are also tuned so accuracy changes with movement. The shotgun barrel still matches a stock double barrel without sport adjustment.
- Removed some remaining development files from the main archive.
- (Ammo version only) The laser barrel in Experiment 14 does not reference ammo energy cells, even though the weapon itself is set up to use them. Force a conversion omod on the barrel.
- Removed the pipe gun part from the legendary sniper template.
Updated on August 25th:
Version 1.01 released
- Fixed issue with canceling reload while aiming, thanks to Mac.
- Removed unused enchantment entries from the plugin.
- Force ammo version to look for OHPWeaponBehavior.esm as master. It already works fine, but now it should warn you if it's missing or disabled

background
The utility shotgun is the pre-war "PureBore 12-50 Over-Under Shotgun." The 12-50 is sold as a 12-gauge shotgun and 12.7mm or 50-gauge rifle, with barrels easily swapped to accommodate those options. Wastelanders goes a step further and customizes it in a variety of ways, shrinking it down to the size of a pistol and attaching various devices. Even the institute briefly released a version to early lecturers...
Two pre-war devices commonly attached to utility shotguns, their uses were somewhat similar before …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
