Summary: Swap the original models ("Throwing Molotov cocktails" and GND/GO models) with the same original model, but with a smaller collision radius.
Let’s talk a long story:
I (original author Dro Lamarr, the same below) have been modding "Fallout 4" for many years, and every modder should occasionally put down tools and have fun, not to test a newly released mod, but to play it purely for fun.
So I decided to play this awesome game and have some fun.
Then I blew myself up with a Molotov cocktail.
"What a pleasant experience," I thought to myself, because I forgot to save again and the last autosave had been a few hours ago.
I've searched around and installed immersive molotovs, which is interesting in itself (although I've made some fixes myself), but it doesn't affect collision, so my molotovs still explode all the time.
So I recreated Molotov's Clash, and these craftsman-tuned, highly technical weapons became my favorite!
That's 2024. It wasn't until I saw a guy blowing himself up with a Molotov cocktail on Reddit a few weeks ago that I remembered I'd never posted that damn fix for anyone else!
I mean, that guy died because of my laziness. What a shame.
So, that's it. The simplest dual grid replacer that doesn't affect anything else, so if you haven't installed Molotov's rebalance yet, it's probably better.
If there are other moderators who can do it,
Please contact me. I really don't want to make a lot of duplicate mods that I just can't find myself or I wouldn't do it.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
