MOD Configuration Menu - RD
Fallout 4 has runtime-independent MCM support, driven by the runtime database.
★ General ★
This is an updated DLL for the Mod configuration menu, rebuilt to use the runtime database instead of relying on runtime-specific addresses.
The original mod configuration menu is still required and must be installed first.
This mod only replaces the MCM DLL. The original MCM interface, scripts and functions remain unchanged.
By using the runtime database, the DLL can dynamically parse supported game features required by the Fallout 4 runtime, reducing the need for Bethesda to separately update the DLL when releasing a new version of the game.
★ Function ★
- Supports OG, NG and AE•
The same DLL for all supported Fallout 4 runtimes
- By the runtime database
Driver • Runtime-independent geocoding
- Designed to accommodate future Bethesda runtime updates
- No changes to original MCM functionality or interfaces
★Permissions ★
Published with permission from Neanka, the original author of Mod Configuration Menu.
★ Installation 1 ★
- Download and install the original mod configuration menu.
- Then install the mod and overwrite the existing MCM DLL if asked.
- If the runtime database is not already installed, install it.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
