Updated on June 27th:
Version 1.1.0
Games managed by MO2 are now detected. The plugin will attempt to launch a matching executable, such as FO4Edit or SSEEdit.
Supported games: Starfield, Fallout 76, Fallout 4, Fallout 4 VR, Skyrim SE, Skyrim, Skyrim VR, Enderal, Enderal SE, Fallout NV, Fallout 3, TTW, Oblivion, Nehrim
Removed the explicit_game_arg setting as it is now always set automatically based on the hosted game.
---
Mod Organizer 2's plugins will run FO4Edit Quick Auto Clean on a set of plugins so you don't have to manually click on each one
Plug-in button.
Originally created by bluebuiy for Skyrim.
Using it in Fallout 4 requires manual editing of the Python code, so I thought I might as well upload it to others as requested in the comments.
See the changelog above for differences. The code can be found on GitHub.
Original description, lightly edited below.
Prerequisites
Mod Manager v2.5.0 and above
FO4 editor version 4.0.4 and above
FO4Edit must be added to the MO2 executable exactly as "FO4Edit".
Install
Extract BatchPluginCleaner.py into the plugin directory of your Mod Organizer 2 installation.
Restart Mod Organizer.
Usage
Start with the puzzle icon -> Clean Plugins or Tools -> Tool Plugins -> Clean Plugins.
Select the plugin you want to clean.
Press Clean.
Sit back and relax. NOTE: Unlocking MO2 during cleaning will stop cleaning
By default, the plugin list is sorted by priority, but this can be changed to alphabetical order by changing sort_by_priority to false in the plugin settings.
If you use the GOG version
You will almost certainly need to set the options explicit_data_path and explicit_ini_path to true in the plugin options.
If this doesn't solve the problem of FO4Edit complaining about missing ini or anything else, please leave a comment.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
