There is no .esp included, only the graphics file changes, so nothing to worry about and can be easily removed. Among the many gruesome improvements; EBT replaces the single humanoid blood texture in vanilla and randomly provides 4 different modes in the game. So the changes you see in the blood are greater. This EBT ADD-ON texture pack replaces 4 random textures in EBT for HD detailed textures with real object lighting, volumes, ripples and bubbles.

EBT is required and must be installed as follows.

This texture pack is designed to give your post-apocalyptic raids a more realistic "dynamic" atmosphere...and I mean clear - these modes look like advanced weapons and grim melee combat have taken place. The textures look and feel visceral and high-impact - blood pooling and arterial spray, rather than the "water droplets" most blood textures offer. Not for the squeamish!

The textures themselves are carefully designed to blend seamlessly with the ambient color palette. Additionally, when viewed closely, the blood looks vivid and highly detailed, gradually becoming perfectly integrated into the environment as you move further away.

These textures are best for realistic damage patterns and realistic ragdoll powers. The patterns are designed to complement each other, but too much repetition can ruin the impact on the bullet sponge.

4k Bloody Mess: You should install EBT with the following settings: Experimental Plugins > (Plugins) HIGH, Alternate Default Color'.

1k and 2k: You should install EBT with the following settings: Experimental Plugins > (Plugins) MEDIUM, Alternate Default Color'.

The other options are a matter of personal preference rather than required, but may affect how the blood texture appears.

Instructions for EBT Cubemaps:

There is a known issue with reflection 'popin' in the FO4 game engine which will not be 100% resolved until CK. Not everyone is affected, so it could be due to certain graphics settings.

EBT 0.3 has some optional cubemaps that affect the reflection of blood textures, as shown below:

Alternate 1 - Makes blood highly reflective.

Alternative 2 - Make the blood appear to reflect the sky - giving it a blue tint.

Darker cubemap - this stops the reflective 'popin' and makes metallic materials appear slightly duller.

Install:

• Install dDefinder1's "Enhanced Blood Textures" as directed above (don't forget to support his mod!).
• Use NMM to install 'Bloody Mess - EBT ADDON' and select 'yes to all' when prompted to overwrite.

Manual - Copy the folder into the Data folder. When prompted, allow this file to override Enhanced Blood Texture.

UN-ISTALLATION：

To uninstall this texture you must uninstall this mod and "Enhanced Blood Textures (EBT)".

If you just want to go back to normal 'Enhanced Blood Texture' mode: just reinstall.

Comparability and known issues:

Bloody Mess replaces 3 graphics files that can be installed and removed without causing harm to the game or save files. This mod does not contain .esp plugin files and does not require FOEdit or TESnip. It's very safe.

'Silver/grey' blood?

Some people have reported that "Silver/Grey" looks bloody under certain lighting conditions and camera angles. I think it mainly affects higher graphics settings. Unfortunately, due to the way the game engine handles reflections is terrible. Have no fear, the mod community has you covered!
