*Lots of Gucci and tactical AR platforms here...we're...going back to basics. *
This pack contains a large collection of retro AR rifles, from the AR-10 to the AR-15 prototype from the late 1950s up to 1999, and can be considered a kind of digital museum, with a special focus on being as faithful as possible to what is seen in the series and what is technically achievable. A late accessory is Falloutify. Apparently, it also includes faithful recreations of the New Vegas versions, such as the Service Rifle, Assault Carbine, Marksman Carbine, and "All-American" and "Survivalist Rifle" variants.
This is probably the first true classic AR-10 mod here, there was a part for the AR-10 before, but it didn't have unique or dedicated animations, so you can say hello to the AR10, it's a little shy, but don't worry.
Like most of my weapon mods, these are platform, meaning you can create the most blessed, most cursed, or most obscure combination of weapons, the choice is yours. The main gun is.
Military Rifle
Iconic semi-automatic assault rifle with an auto-reset trigger if your fingers get tired, as is the case with all civilian rifles
The most powerful of them all, equipped with a long barrel and civilian scope.
Sentinel submachine gun
There was a gap in the sandbox, so a new variant was created for this mod, the Sentinel submachine gun was a Colt 635 (also known as the Colt submachine gun or Colt 9mm) in 10mm caliber and would be a low-tier assault carbine used by the Predator. It will refresh with a dangerously short barrel.
Assault carbine
The fully automatic, low-vent (why?) assault rifle from NV will be the military modular rifle it was meant to be, which can be outfitted with high-capacity magazines (30 rounds in my battle rifle? Are you crazy? -J.S.), military sights, and carbine-length barrels. The Sentinel SMG will share some of the accessories it gets from this gun.
Marksman Carbine
The name says it all, doesn’t it? (And why does this one have a longer magazine than the others, J. Seriously, where did you smell it?) It will be the one that is more accurate and closer to DMR, such as a longer scope, barrel, etc. And it will be the most modern looking of all the games because of the New Vegas style.
More information on the design choices made for Marksman and other characters.
I wouldn't put any quad rail handguards on any marksman rifles, they are too modern/tactical for me and I'm limited to 3 rails max, but sadly they do exist. The Marksman is based on the most advanced assault rifle of the 2010s, loosely based on the then-new Mk18, and as J.Sawyer said, I don't know if this was all his decision, but it makes me very confused as to why it was included, but in New Vegas, this model was so original that it became its own style. I replicated that in this mod.
Regarding my interpretation of the Assault Rifle's place in the backstory. What made me understand even more was my understanding of the different "standard rifles" of old America.
In classic Fallout, we did not have a clear explanation of what the main military rifle was. It was not until Fallout 3 that the G3 derivative model appeared. …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
