About this mod Machine translation

The Chinese version of the MCM menu is usually the config.json file in the Data\MCM\Config\plugin English name folder of the plug-in;

The Json file is actually a text file, but it is recommended to use a text editing tool to open it, such as NotePad++, because it is necessary to maintain the encoding format of the file (usually UTF8, and some Western European language encodings). If you open it with the system's own Notepad, it is easy to save it as GB2312, which will cause the MCM to become garbled after reading;

There are also some multi-language versions of MOD whose config.json uses variables to call language files. The called language TXT is usually in \Data\Interface\Translations. This TXT also needs to be opened and edited with a text editor. Do not use the built-in Notepad.

Look at the pictures and talk:

In the picture,

"modName": "CraftingHighlightFix", //This is the internal name of the module, do not touch it;

"displayName": "Production station item highlighting repair", //This is the name of the module displayed in the main menu on the left in the MCM menu;

Then,

All "text" tags are texts that need to be translated, and the "help" tag is the help text information displayed by the low-end MCM when the mouse is placed on the option text, which also needs to be translated;

The "options" tag is a single option that provides a variety of small options and also needs to be translated;

Basically, it’s nothing. After you’ve translated it, go into the game and take a look. If there’s anything you haven’t translated in English, just find the corresponding text in the file and translate it. You’ll get proficient after reading it a few times. It’s very simple;

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
