HiPoly Faces REDUX

HiPoly Faces REDUX (HFR) is a complete and complete rebuild of the original mod. It gets rid of all the little (and big) problems with the original and is better in every way. Additionally, it now adds a number of useful new features, such as a head and neck seam removal kit and full MCM support.

The main body (supports CBBE - TWB body shape) and 2k texture pack are now packaged. The compatible patches for both are uploaded together with the Atomic Beauty and Fusion Girl body shape compatibility patches. You can choose to install it according to your needs.

~~Since the Chinese version has not been updated, I uploaded the main files of versions 1.5 and 1.6 together. Version 1.6

Made a number of internal changes to how scripts and MCM handle text strings. Text strings have been removed from scripts and moved to MCM and ESP.

These changes ensure that translators no longer need to translate and recompile scripts, and new translation mods should be easier to make.

Although the changes have been implemented, this mod is functionally the same as v1.5. If you are currently using the Translation Mod, it is recommended that you continue using v1.5 until the Translation Mod is updated.

These changes are in preparation for upcoming mods that rely on HiPoly Faces REDUX.

This is a long overdue revamp of HiPoly Faces. After years of development and testing, months of uncertainty, and now it's finally released.

HiPoly Faces REDUX (HFR) is a complete and complete rebuild of the original mod. It gets rid of all the little (and big) problems with the original and is better in every way. In addition, it now adds many useful new features.

Like the original mod, the polygon count has been kept at a reasonable level, so there are no performance issues even on weaker systems.

Recommended texture mods (use one):

Cridowskin (with HFR seamless patch)

Serene Skin (applies seamlessly, but has its own skin coverage, so be sure to read its instructions)

Note: I (original author SQr17, the same below) have not thoroughly tested these mods. When using seamless configurations they may cause color mismatches, please keep this in mind.

Improvements compared to the old HiPoly Faces mod:

• No more silly preset edits, console commands or record edits to load onto player characters and companions. Everything can be done using MCM.

-Use better smoothing algorithm. This results in a smoother face while preserving facial volume and detail.

-Better smoothness also eliminates warping of facial tattoos.

• Customized face normals to remove any unnecessary shadows and roughness.
• Added split data to grid.

-Now includes an optional head and neck seam removal kit. By default, this is a standalone feature that only applies to player characters.

Updates, patches, add-ons;

All patches and add-ons from the old HiPoly Faces mod are now available for REDUX.

How to use:

Just install using your favorite mod manager, then use the in-game MCM and enable it for your character. Also included are optional vanilla and DLC companion HFR settings. Can be placed anywhere in the load order.
