Convert BCR-compatible animations to HaBCR animations

Original address:

Prefix:

Havok Aware Bullet Counted Reload (HaBCR):

describe

HaBCR adopts a loop method, supports bullet counting and reloading, smoother interpolation, no additional loading to standby transition animation, and has a unified loading animation for any ammunition capacity.

The module itself is basically a framework designed for modders. Existing modules designed for BCR may need to patch animations, but patching animations requires multiple animation tools, a certain amount of animation knowledge, and time.

HaBCR Patcher allows you to patch BCR-compatible animations into HaBCR animations with just a drag and drop.

How to use

  • Find WPNReload.hkx and WPNReloadReserve.hkx used by the moderator. If the mod has ba2, open - Main.ba2 with BSA browser and unzip them.
  • Drag and drop the hkx file to HaBCRPatcher.exe.
  • Decide how many frames to cut from the loop. Usually the 0 key works best, so just press Enter.
  • Check whether there is any problem with the animation in the game.

What exactly does it do?

It first decompresses animation hkx and cleans BCR comments. Then, potential loops are found by comparing the bone transformation data, leaving only one loop. After that, it adjusts the annotation timing and adds HaBCR annotations for the loop start and end.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
