How does this work?
⭐ No FPS loss
GVCM uses vanilla functionality so there is no additional load on the system. Specifically, absolutely no new filters were applied! Brightness, saturation, contrast, hue, bloom, and more—everything you can control is already present in your original game, but configured the way the developers wanted. GVCM only allows you to use this feature. GVCM applies its changes when MCM settings change or when a save game is loaded, so this is the only time you might experience some sort of brief delay, depending on your machine. Mine wasn't the best, I was totally fine.
⭐ Default
Initially, game images sometimes look washed out or even overly contrasting. With GVCM presets, visuals become balanced and colors look more natural and pleasing! Choose from 5 unique presets or create your own using the advanced settings feature provided.
⭐ Tweaks
GVCM offers you a variety of tweaks that are both unique to this mod and popular among the community. A lot of attention has been paid to the features section, so you better give it a try, you won't regret it!

In more detail, every texture in the game uses a technique called mip mapping. This allows distant objects to use lower resolution textures, reducing the load on the graphics card. Unfortunately, the developers of Fallout 4 have adjusted the display range of low-quality textures on objects so that sometimes you'll see blurry objects that are very close. Most likely, this happened because the game was developed in the early 2010s. In modern times, where players typically have better hardware and larger screens, these flaws are even more apparent.
Another technique responsible for eliminating texture blur is caled Anisotropic Filtering. It eliminates texture …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
