FOV Slider and PlayerHeight adjust field of view
about
This mod adds an MCM menu that allows you to easily adjust various fields of view and player height in the game without cluttering the terminal display and Pipboy. Settings are stored and persist across game restarts, and settings persist on every save.
Current features:
First person FOV
Third person FOV
First person force armor FOV
3rd Man Power Armor FOV
Terminal/furniture FOV (zoom in/zoom out)
Player height (does not apply to PA height, intentional)
Unpaused Game Menus for Fallouls - kassent. Allows you to see changes immediately while using the slider. You may ask, how is this mod different/better than ini edits or console commands? They work fine if you adjust the FOV using ini/console commands. But guess what? When you see a terminal with high FOV, the terminal becomes very small and sometimes it can break your pipboy making it too big/small to read.
The same applies to the "Player.SetScale()" console command to set the player height. If you make your character too big/small, the terminal will cut off the screen. If you're lucky enough that the terminal doesn't get cut off, it's always slightly off the screen, which is really annoying. The Power Armor animation and Vault Door activation animation don't line up with the character either, it breaks the immersion and annoys me like hell and ultimately inspired me to make this mod.
This mod will dynamically change the FOV and player height via lightweight scripting when the player uses Terminals/PowerArmors/VaultDoorConsole. This mod also allows you to have 3 additional FOV settings, first and third person powered armor FOV, and terminal/furniture FOV, all integrated into the MCM menu for you to adjust on the fly.
Install
If you install this mod when launching a new game, it will not work because MCM events are not registered correctly. Best installed after leaving V111. The slider may not work properly if installed when starting a new game, but it should work fine if the game is restarted after leaving V111. If you want to set the FOV when the sliders are not working, use Quicksave -> Set Sliders -> Load Quicksave.
Requires F4SE and Mod configuration menu. Install using your favorite mod manager, but I highly recommend using Mod Organizer 2. To install manually, unzip the .zip file and copy all contents into the Fallout 4\Data folder. Incompatibility
Does not work with any mod that changes FOV.
Please report any incompatibilities and bugs immediately.
Limitations and known issues
This mod sets the FOV via many workarounds, this is only possible due to luck. Therefore, the transition may not be smooth enough, especially when the FOV value is set too high. TerminalFOV is linked to FurnitureFOV, there is currently no way of distinguishing between terminal and furniture identification, so they share the same FOV. Note that high FOV values may result in a lot of clipping, there is no way to fix this, so use high FOV when doing your own discretization.
Player height affects the character's movement speed and potential melee damage, this is hard-coded in the creation engine and requires a high-tech F4SE.dll plugin to fix it. Also, after you change the character height, the previous movement speed will remain the same, but when you switch to 1st/3rd character view or draw a weapon, it will update and fix itself. This error is less noticeable if your height is set closer to the default value of 1.0, so I recommend setting it in the range between 0.9 and 1.1.
There is currently no way to implement PipboyFOV, the only way is to open Pipboy via the "fov xx" console command, or via the high-tech F4SE.dll plugin, which I'm not smart enough to do. This is planned and will come eventually if I find a way to implement it, as I don't think this mod is feature complete without PipboyFOV.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
