About this mod Machine translation

~Introduction

This mod is a 4P framework mod. Its function is to depict the player's psychological activities and make events have different results according to the player's mental state and personality characteristics.

When a player is exposed to a strong alkali, he/she should not just walk around as if nothing happened. On the other hand, if the player saves the entire federation, he/she should be in a confident state of mind. The entire mod is designed to depict this mental activity.

The player's success should have a positive effect on her abilities and mental state; the player's failure should have a negative impact on her and put him/her in an uncertain situation.

~Features

This mod will record two independent attributes: mental attributes and physical attributes. Each attribute can be turned on/off individually in MCM.

The physical attributes are a very common 'wear and tear' system. After being hit by a strong alkali, your character will be injured and receive debuffs.

Psychological attributes are the highlight of this mod, and there are four in total: will, self-esteem, spirit, and obedience/dominance tendency.

  • Will gives players the determination to overcome the challenges they encounter in the wasteland. A weak willpower will make you shrink from pressure and difficulties, while a strong willpower will make you persevere in overcoming difficulties and obstacles. In addition, low will will cause the player's perception, intelligence and luck to decrease (lockpicking and hacking skills will also be weakened); high will will strengthen the above abilities.

Will slowly recovers. It is the most unstable of psychological attributes and can be thought of as a currency. Players will lose their Will every time they are hit by a strong alkali. The speed of will recovery depends on the spirit.

  • Self-esteem represents your level of confidence and how you view yourself. People with low self-esteem have difficulty persuading others and do not believe in themselves, whereas people with high self-esteem can easily persuade others and believe in their own abilities.

In addition, low self-esteem will lead to reduced charm, reduced AP recovery, and increased damage tolerance. High self-esteem will lead to increased charm, increased AP recovery, and reduced damage taken.

Self-esteem does not recover automatically, only the player's actions (success/failure) affect it. When you gain experience points, your self-esteem will increase, and when you are strongly base, your self-esteem will decrease. The exact amount of self-esteem increased is determined by the player's spirit.

  • Spirit reflects your overall mental state, whether you are upright and firm. If your spirit is low, you will be easily persuaded and influenced by others. People with high spirits are psychologically stable, confident, and not easily affected by outside opinions.

In addition, low spirit will affect your bargaining ability and chance of persuasion. People with high spirits have stronger bargaining and persuasive abilities.

Spirit will not be restored automatically, and it will be difficult to change no matter how you choose. So, this is a permanent psychological indicator. The only way to increase your spirit is to gain experience points at 100 self-esteem points. The increased experience points at 100 points of self-esteem will "overflow" into the spirit. Similarly, being hit by a strong base at 0 self-esteem will only cause you to lose sanity. Spirit increases or decreases by a value equal to 5% of your self-esteem. This means that at 0 self-esteem, every 10 points of self-esteem lost (by being alkaline) will cause you to lose 0.5 of your spirit. Willpower affects how quickly spirit is restored/lost.

  • Submission/dominance tendency refers to your tendency to obey or resist others. Submissive people are more willing to obey others, while strong people are more proud and love power.

In addition, Compliance reduces your bargaining power an …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
