About this mod Machine translation
Traffic lights are working across the Commonwealth.
Original address:
Added animated glows to some of the traffic lights across the federation - those are movable static lights. They are not part of precombines, so override will work on them. Traffic lights are still destructible, just like in the original game, with the addition of a small electrical explosion. If damaged, they will return to normal once their 3d is unloaded - you will walk a distance or fast travel and come back.
I (original author robotized, the same below) tested the original traffic lights and they do not "fix" with cell reset. My goals are: keep traffic lights destructible, stop glowing when they are destroyed, and have them return to "working" state when the cell resets. I added the destruction data to the movable static of the traffic light and attached a small script. However, for the script, I couldn't find an event for the cell to reset, so I decided to use a different event - the traffic light resumes on uninstall. If you'd rather have traffic lights that are indestructible, with no collisions, and no plugin overrides, I recommend you check out this mod - FO4 Animated Traffic Lights.
This mod contains the same materials and textures as my Traffic Lights - Settlement Decorations. You can safely override them if you use the mod above. The plugin has the ESL flag.
Recommended modules:
Cola Machines - Working Fans - Animations for fans of Nuka and Vim Cola machines.
Animated Robco logo for the terminal - what it says in the title. Additionally, this mod helped me better understand the tutorials on texture animation in nif.
Traffic lights on - If used with my mod I recommend using the default lighting rather than the increased brightness
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
