About this module:
Fixed various facial expression and eye tracking engine bugs:
- Fixed a bug that could cause eye tracking to remain inactive for player characters and NPCs
- Reload saved games and
- Certain cell transitions (frequent when fast traveling to Boston Library)
- Fixed a bug that caused NPCs to look in the wrong direction after entering/exiting power armor (applies to armor without a helmet)
- Fixed a bug that could cause NPCs to lose facial expressions (emotions) in crowded areas (usually in settlements with population >30, although it was actually related to the number of nearby participants being processed in parallel by the engine)
set up:
Set INI: ..\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\FacialExpressionAndEyeTrackingEngineFixes.ini
- bEyeTracking: Toggle eye tracking fix
- bFacialExpression: Toggle facial expression fix
- bPowerArmorEyeTarget: Toggle Power Armor eye tracking fix
Notice:
- This mod does not affect FaceGen (i.e. character appearance, appearance or animation behavior), only the bugs mentioned above
- These issues are not the same as those in Starfield, but they have some similarities; however, the engine fixes are quite different
- I don't know if there is already a mod that fixes these bugs; if there is, please don't let me know about it
Prefix:
- Fallout 4 Script Extender
- Address Library for F4SE Plugins
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
