About this mod Machine translation

The ESL and ESP versions have been packaged and uploaded together.

About this mod:

Fixed some issues that prevented hostile NPCs from respawning after a certain amount of time.

About the bug: The vanilla game might skip respawning NPCs under certain conditions after a zone reset, causing them to disappear forever. (They will not be restored later). This isn't common, but smaller enemies in random locations may be noticed after a while.

In addition to fixing bugs, it also flags those NPC base records for respawn that may have been missed by the developers. NPCs templated from these base records will also disappear. This mod patches these records so that they respawn correctly.

Note: This mod will not affect "area bosses" like Red Tourette or Tower Tom as they are not intended to respawn. It also doesn't change NPC respawn or zone reset times, it only fixes broken NPCs.

compatibility:

This mod will not overwrite any vanilla records and it should be as compatible with other mods as possible. (This is a lightweight mod that applies fixes "on the fly" at runtime and does not make any permanent changes to any NPCs).

Module settings:

Alternatively, you can change some mod settings in... Fallout 4DataF4SENPCRespawnFix.ini. The INI contains instructions for the settings.

(Note: These are fairly technical settings and should only be changed if you know what you are doing, e.g. you know what a Cell attachment event is, an IsCreated reference, etc.)

Prerequisites (required):

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
