V4.9.6 Chinese version guide:
Thanks to BigStan for the speed...
An extension to the extensive, lightweight and highly compatible equipment and crafting system. This module is designed as a framework and is easily extensible. Includes optional DLC support/expansion. Everything included is fully modular and can be customized to your own needs. Every feature can be configured in the blink of an eye via holographic tape or optional MCM.
New workbench (optional, configurable via holotape/MCM)
Universal Workbench: This new workbench is multifunctional, allowing you to craft and modify everything with it. Available in mobile and stationary/workshop variants.
Powered Armor Station: ECO also comes with a new, more compact PA workbench replacement that you can use in place of a regular workbench. It also comes in both mobile and fixed variants.
Mobile versions of universal workbenches and PA stations can be transported in your inventory and deployed at any time. Once done, pack them up and continue your adventure.
Multiple new recipes for ammo, armor, junk, weapons, and various other items are spread across multiple modes in the ECO workbench.
The new workbench can be used in combat, but with risks.
Armor and clothing additions (optional, configurable via holo-tape/MCM)
Makes any armor or clothing invisible. On the Armor Workbench, you'll get an additional menu called "AA: Armor Appearance" (part of Universal Gear Modification) that contains this option.
Armor pieces in the base game can change their size (light, medium, heavy) at the armor workbench, both physically (including statistics) and visually.
If a piece of armor or clothing is missing a vanilla weave slot, you can apply it in-game. There are also various new braid types implemented in a balanced way. You still need to complete the rail mission to enable the option (or use the cheat option in ECO's Holotapes/MCM).
Generic device modifications (optional, configurable via holotape/MCM)
No need to implement it separately for other modules. It works right out of the box and can be applied in a variety of ways. For more information on this, see the "Details" section.
Change, balance and enhance the mechanics of your weapons: ammo conversion, projectile coverage, firing modes, damage, recoil and rate of fire modifiers, etc.
Give your armor new unique effects (such as jetpack), modify jump height, resistance values, and more.
A second texture and miscellaneous effects for power armor, modifying it in the same way as armor.
Add a customizable modular targeting HUD to your (Strength) armor and highlight corpses, friends and/or enemies.
Apply the legendary attachment point directly from the game to any equipment that lacks it. This is useful for those using legendary crafting mods.
Quick modification (optional, configurable via holotape/MCM)
New menu accessible via items or hotkeys (if MCM is available).
Switch between various ammo types, firing modes, sight zoom and ADS speed options.
This applies to any type of weapon, whether vanilla or added by other mods.
Switch between firearms and melee weapon attachments (scopes, muzzle devices, magazines, etc.). Vanilla weapons are already part of this system. Modified weapons need to be implemented separately. Check out the "Requirements" menu above and its "Mods that require this file" section to find mods that extend this system/add support for additional weapons.
There is also an attack/fire mode quick switch available, allowing cycling between attack modes. For example, automatic, semi-automatic and burst fire (when burst extension is installed).
You can make these modifications in any situation, so it's especially useful in combat.
Optional F4SE (Script Extender) support. If you have F4SE installed, Quick Mod automatically switches to an improved mod swapping feature that simulates t …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
