Created by Elephant Shrew, this mod dynamically changes the fSneakMaxDistance value based on game time and the player's location (indoor or outdoor). (To put it simply, it imitates the style of stealth games, making players less likely to be discovered indoors or at night, and easier to discover otherwise)
If the player is indoors, fSneakMaxDistance is set to 2048, if the player is outdoors, fSneakMaxDistance is set to 4096. (This value can be changed by modifying ini).
Starting at 21:00, fSneakMaxDistance will gradually decrease until it reaches half the value set at 0:00 above. (For example, if you are indoors, it will decrease to 1024. fSneakMaxDistance will decrease from 0:00 to 5:00, then gradually increase after 5:00, until it returns to its original state at 8:00.
This mod does not modify behavior patterns such as NPC combat AI, so I recommend using it in conjunction with mods such as Arbitration.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
