NPC damage scaling
NPC damage increases (against players and other NPCs) when you reach level 50 and every time you level up past that point. Ideally, each player upgrades them to deal around 5% more damage no matter what weapon they use (explosion damage excluded). Defenseless creatures also benefit from this bonus. For example: When you reach level 100, a level 100 NPC may deal 220% to 280% additional damage. This does not mean that every attack they perform has a random bonus damage between 220% and 280%. It's just a static modifier (from that specific range) that applies to every attack until the player levels up again. The NPC then rolls a new random modifier, which may be higher.
NPCs with lower levels than the player benefit less, but they still get a significant damage boost. The same percentages are still calculated as above, but they are reduced. For example: At player level 100, a level 1 NPC may deal 23% to 57% additional damage, while a level 50 NPC may deal 153% to 222% additional damage. The formula here is a little more complicated, but if you're interested, feel free to check out the formula below.
NPCs with the same level or higher than the player
dmgModHighLevel = Max (0, ( player_level - 50 + 1) * 0.05 + RandomFloat (-7, 5) * 0.05)
NPCs with a lower level than the player (the value of dmgModHighLevel is calculated above)
dmgModLowLevel = dmgModHighLevel * Min (1, ( npc_level / player_level ) ^ 0.63 + RandomFloat (0.05, 0.15))
Check if the mod is valid
First, make sure you are at least level 50 A message should pop up in the upper left corner of the screen
Open your console
After clicking on the NPC, issue the following command: GetValue hxfDSP_NpcBonusDmgLevel_AV.
It should return a number equal to your_level - 50 + 1. For example: if you are level 100, it must return 51. This character value is almost a multiplier to the 5% damage boost the NPC benefits from.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
