Concord Restoration Plan – Phase 2

Pre-requisite: Full DLC

F4MS - Fallout 4 Mining System:

What's this

(Have you) ever just wanted a settlement that was a healthy, little beacon of civilization and not completely crumbly like the rest of the world?

After years in the making, it’s finally here: the Concord Restoration Plan, Phase 2.

Come see the birthplace of the Minuteman Corps of Engineers!

This mod turns the Concord area into a post-apocalyptic town, roughly in the continuity of nexbil 01's Birth of the Commonwealth.

Set in 2289 after the Raider War, the Far Harbor Intervention and even the Great Northern War. As general hostilities and the need for further expansion waned, the Militia Engineer Corps was formed to help rebuild the Commonwealth: from the people, for the people!

Literally everything in Concord has been cleaned, restored, repainted, reworked, and rebuilt back to normal.

Many buildings are already open to the larger world space for you and your settlers to use. All provide protection against radiation storms.

There is a helipad, a park, a pond and a large agricultural area. There are two flat parking areas for building more if you wish.

The Concord Municipal Access Road has been slightly expanded and cleared.

Even the Concord Water Tower is storing water again.

Countless unpaid hours spent forever immersed in this crazy project for absolutely no sane reason:

Thanks CRP team!

How to use (please read carefully)

Before installing, make sure to complete the task of rescuing Blackie and his party in Concord. Otherwise you will not be able to complete the task after installation.

The mod will conveniently warn you with a pop-up message at the start of the game in case you forget.

  • There is the main mod which will change the structure, landscape and vegetation of Concord and add an interior settlement to the Concord Workhouse.

The main mod requires F4MS, which absolutely won't work without it, as stated in the requirements section above - just in case you missed it.

  • There is an external settlement plugin that turns the outside of Concord into a large settlement (the map icon may not indicate stats correctly).

Once the insert is installed, the red workbench will be located in the workshop shed behind the Concord Almshouse.

  • There are patches for some well-known mods. If you make a patch, you can send it to me and I'll put it in there with the others.
  • Reorder questions, see suggestions below.

Due to the large external settlement area, I highly recommend setting uGridsToLoad=7.

Contrary to what the internet says, this works fine in FO4 - provided your hardware can handle the increased load.

If you're a scumbag and want to keep your uGrids at 5, you may run into some weird settlement-related issues similar to Spectacle Island's.

Setting it to 7 will also fix glasses island btw.

  • It is highly recommended that you build a power grid as various elevators, lights, signs, automatic doors and church clocks require power.

There are power sockets and timer control switches (yellow) at the back of the workhouse. You'll also find a bunch of reactors in its basement.

Telephone poles dot the town. In the power/connector category you'll have things that snap onto poles.

Many buildings have power connectors. Some simply radiate electricity into open buildings, others power elevators and other equipment inside.

In order to achieve the screenshot effect, we recommend Electrical And Electronics Engineering by the same author: The best results when used together. (not required)

Indoor inventory workstation

Due to the large number of buildable interiors, it is impossible to turn them all into complete settlements. Unfortunately, this meant they had no supply …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
