BodySlide and Outfit Studio now comes in V5
BodySlide has been updated to add Fallout 4 support, once again bringing a ton of new features.
Unprecedented flexibility combined with amazing ease of use lets you have all the outfits and shapes you've ever dreamed of.
For the latest updates, known issues, and more, check out the Sticky Comments and Changes tabs.
NOTE: As of version 3.8 of BodySlide, **this utility requires OpenGL 3.3**. If your card doesn't support this feature (cards that meet Skyrim's minimum system requirements should, but N-cards removed support for it on the RTX 30 series), you shouldn't update BodySlide until you get a better card.

Customize clothing and bodies without editing mesh files!
Use the sliders to create your personal shapes.
Fancy outfit filtering quickly shows you the outfits you want, while the textured preview window shows you the outfits you'll get.
Build morph files allow you to use sliders in your game using appearance menus or other script mods.
clothing studio
The power of an experienced modder is now in your hands!
Convert garments between bodies, create your own BodySlide sliders, correct animation weights and edit meshes.
If you know what you're doing, you can even edit static meshes.
Import and export .FBX, .OBJ and .NIF meshes.
Almost no previous modding experience is required.
physics
Along with the BodySlide plugin on the CBBE mod page comes the "CBBE Body Physics" set.
Select it in BodySlide's Clothing/Body dropdown and build it. Your body should now have muscle physics.

Add the following lines to the "Fallout4Custom.ini" file located in "Documents\My Games\Fallout 4", or through your mod manager (if applicable):
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
(No, that's not a typo. Yes, all three lines.)
Manual
Download and open the archive using 7Zip, then extract the "Tools" folder to Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout 4/Data.
Once completed, the executable can be found in the "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout 4/Data/Tools/BodySlide" folder.
vortex
Download the archive and install it into Vortex just like you would any other mod and enable it.
Make sure your Vortex deploys correctly by clicking the "Deploy Mod" toolbar button in the "Mods" section.
Go to "Add Tool" in the dashboard.
In the "Target" field, select the "BodySlide x64.exe" file from the real data folder of your game installation instead of the Vortex mods folder: "Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout 4/Data/Tools/BodySlide".
Install any body sliding add-ons (such as body mods and clothing) to Vortex.
module organizer
Download the archive and install it to MO just like you would any other mod and enable it.
In MO2, go to the "Data" tab on the right, find BodySlide x64.exe in the "Tools/Body Slides" folder, right-click it and add it as an executable file. You can then launch it via MO2.
When BodySlide opens, click the "Settings" button and make sure the game data path points to your actual game data folder, for example "C:/Games/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Fallout 4/Data/".
Install any body sliding add-ons (such as body mods and clothing) to MO.
After the batch is generated, the files will appear in the Overlay folder. You need to create a new mod folder, say "BodySlide Output", move the files from "Overlay" into this folder, and then enable it.
We (the authors, hereafter) do not resolve MO installation issues, please seek help in the Mod Organizer Community.
renew
You can uninstall old files/install new files, or just install new files and overwrite when prompted. Just make sure to back up your personal presets/groups/bodies/outfits in Slider Sets/Slider Presets/Shape Data/Slider Groups so they don't get deleted, either …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
