About this mod Machine translation
This is a pre-alpha version of XCOM2 original game total conversion mode
This is the pre-alpha of the original game's total conversion mode. Mainly to show progress and collect feedback.
Beware, it is a Highlander mod and should be used with other non-cosmetic mods.
Since there are bugs in the new patch, some manual work is required.
Find the CookedPCConsole folder in the mod:
Steam \ steamapps \ workshop \ content \ 268500 \ 722131988 \ CookedPCConsole
Then copy the two files from there to:
Steam \ steamapps \ common \ XCOM 2 \ XComGame \ CookedPCConsole
This will change your main XCOM 2 code files, even if you cancel the mod. If you want to remove the mod completely, just verify your XCOM2 game and you will get the original game code files.
Alternatively, you can backup the XComGame.upk and XComGame.upk.uncompressed_size files. Then restore the original files.
Internet of Things:
Weapons:
Conventional Weapons (Choose Krakah’s CVWeaponPack item)
Good penetration, average damage, red mist damage per hit
Laser Weapons (Inventory + Klaus’ Mercenary Plasma Weapon)
Excellent accuracy, average damage, high capacity but can do it all
Gaussian Weaponry (CMDBob’s TotalAdventWeaponry)
Excellent penetration, low damage
Plasma (spot)
Extreme damage, but low penetration. Destroy armor.
Each weapon has its own targeting, capture and automatic firing accuracy. Some people cannot shoot automatically. Aiming the lens can make direct shots. Operators carry limited ammo and each shot and magic counts!
Most guns have no non-penetrating damage. To penetrate armor, you need to attack the enemy. Evasion value is the quality of the armor. Better armor, more likely to deflect bullets.
Accuracy is calculated based on soldier target, weapon target and range using the quadratic formula.
Targeting reduces the amount the soldier sees from the enemy. Full coverage means 90% reduction in target (up to 90%). Half coverage means 45% (up to 45). Aiming angles are calculated at any range. The closer you get to the flank, the less the target will be reduced.
Highlands reduced cover. High ground has no effect if the enemy has no cover.
Kneeling soldiers receive a supported gun target bonus.
Grenades have decay. Each tile loses 2 horsepower.
A lesson.
Collect experience after every action on the field. Increase or decrease statistics based on these operations. Doing certain things on the field will unlock selectable abilities. Note that each operator can have a total of 6 skills.
Every soldier can be equipped with everything.
all red fog
Each penetrating shot will cause some Red Mist damage to XCOM and Enemy. It reduces Aim, Mobility, Willpower and Detection. Healing can undo negative effects.
If any red mist stat drops below 10-20%, the unit dies or begins to bleed.
Traditional 1 HP damage will always be dealt as Red Fog. It does not reduce HP, only stats.
Plasma's 1 HP damage always tears through armor. It only reduces the armor rating.
Random Statistics
Each solder joint is randomly counted between a certain range.
1300 cities
Save the Scum Enabled
All enemies should be rebalanced for this mod.
The mission timer is doubled using Wasteland_ghost's script, and the number of enemies is increased.
All XCOM weapons and armor are available for testing purposes only. Research, modules and modifiers will be added later.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
