Update 1016-07-09: Shen's Last Gift breaks target quest fix. Please see compatibility below

Update 2016-02-13: Added translations for ITA, DEU, POL and JPN.

Update 2016-02-12: The new 1.2 package recovers missing files from 1.1 and should fix a bug that caused the evac all icon not to display. This version also includes translations into multiple languages.

describe

This mod adds the "Evac All" ability when the soldier's ability bar is in an active evac zone. Clicking this button will clear all soldiers currently in the evac area without the need to click the evac button on each soldier.

Soldiers that are different from the evac area will remain the same - this mod does not add any gameplay changes, it is purely an interface change.

Evac animation style can be configured through the XComEvacAll.ini configuration file.

Install

For manual installation, extract the installation package into the XCOM2\XComGame\Mods folder (create the Mods folder if it does not exist).

This mod is compatible with existing saves, but will not take effect until the next time you start a mission after installing the mod. Loading a saved game before installing will work before installing, but no Evac All abilities will appear until the next mission.

As with all mods out there, uninstalling this mod will cause the game to refuse to load saved games created while this mod is installed. This can be solved with the "Ignore Missing DLC" module, but when uninstalling I recommend uninstalling while your save is in geoscape, not in a mission.

configuration

The animation style of evac can be configured through the XComEvacAll.ini file in the Config folder in the mod package. When installing via Steam Workshop, it can be found in the steamapps\workshop\content\268500\618669868\Config folder. This file contains two configurable options:

EvacMode, which can have one of three values:

eAllAtOnce (default) - All units in the zone will evac at the same time, with each unit performing its rope-out animation at slightly staggered times.

eOneByOne - Units will evacuate one by one, each soldier waiting for the previous soldier to complete the animation.

eNoAnimations - All units will immediately evacuate and disappear without playing any animations.

When ShowNoEvacTiles is set to true, red tile overlays will be shown on tiles in the evac area, but cannot be undone from them. This is vanilla behavior where tiles in areas but with geometric overhead, such as bus shelter roofs, elevated highways, awnings, etc., are not valid tiles. When this option is enabled, these tiles will be displayed, making it easier to accidentally place soldiers on them at the last minute and make them unable to evacuate.

compatibility

The WotC version is an early version and may contain bugs. Please use with caution, especially with Ironman saves.

Version 1.6 includes a custom mission map for neutralizing the target mission to resolve the vanilla bug introduced by Shen's Last Gift. This will cause conflicts with other mods that use custom mission maps, such as some mission timer mods. This fix is not yet included in WotC releases.

The custom map is not important for the working mode - this new map can be safely deleted if you want to continue using these other modes. Just delete the XComMissions.ini file from the mod config folder. Doing so will reintroduce the bug, however: if you use evac (or evac all) to extract all remaining soldiers on the map, including a carried VIP, Bradford will repeatedly say that the VIP has been lost and the VIP will be considered to have been killed for mission reward purposes. You can solve this problem by taking out the soldiers carrying the VIP first and then using evac or evac on the remaining units.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
