About this mod Machine translation

Made ammo use the weapon upgrade slot instead of the utility slot.

NOTE: Pistols use the primary weapon's ammo upgrade by default (unless you use a mod that allows pistols to be weapon upgraded, use the utility item ammo [from an old save], or set SECONDARY_USE_PRIMARY_AMMO in XComAmmo.ini to false)

Note 2: This mod completely creates new items and does not touch your existing ammo (in fact, weapon mods will reference existing ammo to use their effects), if you already have experimental ammo this mod will not remove them and they will work as if it were only the newly acquired ammo that becomes the weapon mod (should I change that?). Before you think about it, stacking ammo won't work and utility item ammos will get priority.

Note 3: Super recommended for advanced modular weapons ( ) (not my mod)

I made this mod because I saw a few people talking about this and after a few days I didn't see anyone releasing the mod so I made one myself :P

Known issue: Ammo upgrades will appear twice when you mouseover your weapon, I don't have a clean way to get rid of the duplicate one as it involves covering more stuff.

WARNING: As any XCOM 2 mod does, saving the game with the mod enabled will cause saving the game to only work when the mod is enabled, as this mod creates new items that will be missing content when the mod is disabled, so be careful disabling this mod, but if you still want to disable it you will need to

question? Please follow this guide first! It may solve your problem (works with all mods)

Compatibility Note:

This mod overrides the templates 'ExperimentalAmmo', 'HotLoadAmmo' and may not be compatible with other mods overriding the same template. This mod is also incompatible with the ammo mod that adds new ammo, which can only be obtained from the 'Experimental Ammunition' casting project (you will not be able to obtain these ammo).

This mod is also compatible with custom weapons, but if the ammo icon does not display the custom weapon correctly, you can add its weapon class name to XComAmmo.ini WeaponFallbacks

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
