Simulated movement and dodge distance adjustment

🎮 **Make your "Impermanence: Fallen Feather" operation more delicate and classic! **

This mod completely changes the way the character moves and adjusts the dodge mechanism, aiming to provide a control experience closer to classic action games such as "Dark Souls".

✨ Core Functions

  • **Analog movement (controller only)**: The character's movement speed is no longer a simple "walk" or "run", but is proportional to how much you push the joystick. Push lightly to walk slowly, push to the end to run quickly, and the operation is more delicate!
  • **Classic Soul Dodge**: By default, the dodge distance is shortened and the animation speed is adjusted to make dodge feel more compact and weighty, returning to the classic "soul flavor" combat rhythm.
  • **Highly Configurable**: All changes can be adjusted or turned off by modifying the script file, completely customized to your liking.

⚠️ **IMPORTANT NOTE**

Please note that this mod may incur some **CPU performance overhead**.

  • On the author's laptop, the game will freeze after turning on the mod.

*But runs smoothly on its desktop (i7 13700K).

If you encounter performance issues, you can try adjusting the `tickTrigger` value in the `main.lua` script. It determines the frame interval at which the module logic runs. The default value is `0`, which means run every frame.

```lua
local tickTrigger = 0
```

⚙️ Configurable variables

All settings are in the `main.lua` script file, you can adjust them freely:

```lua
---------------------------------------
-- You can edit the following sections
-- Simulate movement (controller only)
local enableAnalogMovement = true -- Set to false to use vanilla movement
local maxWalkSpeed = 360 -- default 350
local maxStrictWalkSpeed = 146.65 -- default 146.66 (e.g. forced walking speed when blocking)
local maxSprintSpeed = 470 -- default 550
-- Dodge adjustment
local enableDodgeChanges = true -- Set to false to use vanilla dodge
-- animation playback speed (default 1.0 = 100% speed)
local dodgeForward_RateScale = 0.6
local dodgeBackward_RateScale = 0.7
local dodgeLeft_RateScale = 0.8
local dodgeRight_RateScale = 0.8
-- animation duration (= dodge distance, default 1.0)
local dodgeForward_SequenceLength = 0.4
local dodgeBackward_SequenceLength = 0.5
local dodgeLeft_SequenceLength = 0.6
local dodgeRight_SequenceLength = 0.6
-- You can edit the above section
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
