Blueprint Mod Loader
✨ A simple, lightweight Blueprint module loader, an alternative to UE4SS. This loader is ideal if you only want to load blueprint modules, or if UE4SS is not working properly. It is designed to **continue to work without frequent updates**!
---
🚀 How to use the mod loader
To use this loader, you need to add a few lines of configuration to your `Engine.ini` file.
**Configuration file found:**
- The `Engine.ini` file is located in `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Project_Plague\Saved\Config\Windows\`.
- A quick way is to paste the above path into the address bar of Windows File Explorer and press Enter.
- *Note: The game path may differ for Game Pass versions. *
**Edit configuration file:**
- Use a text editor such as Notepad to open the `Engine.ini` file.
- Confirm the file name of the blueprint module you want to load (without the `.pak` extension).
**Add configuration example:**
For example, the file name of my mod Even Better Photomode is `Photomode.pak`.
Then you just need to add the following content to the `Engine.ini` file:
```ini
[/Game/Mods/WFF_BPLoader/WBP_WFF_BPLoader.WBP_WFF_BPLoader_C]
Mods=Photomode
```
**Load multiple mods:**
To load more mods, just add more `Mods=` lines, like this:
```ini
[/Game/Mods/WFF_BPLoader/WBP_WFF_BPLoader.WBP_WFF_BPLoader_C]
Mods=Photomode
Mods=Pause
Mods=SkipIntroMessages
```
You can add as many mods as you want by repeating the `Mods=` line!
---
🔄 Compatible with UE4SS module
If you want to use this loader to load modules originally made for UE4SS, you need to perform the following steps:
- Move their `.pak` files from `\Project_Plague\Content\Paks\LogicMods` to `\Project_Plague\Content\Paks\~mods` folder.
- Note their filenames (e.g. `ExampleMyMod.pak`).
- Then add the corresponding configuration in the `Engine.ini` file:
```ini
[/Game/Mods/WFF_BPLoader/WBP_WFF_BPLoader.WBP_WFF_BPLoader_C]
Mods=ExampleMyMod
```
---
📦 Installation steps
- **Prerequisites:** Download and install Wuchang Mod Enabler.
- **Locate the game directory:** Go to the location where your game is installed.
- **Create mod folder:** Navigate to `\Project_Plague\Content\Paks\`. If there isn't a folder named `~mods` in there yet, create one.
- **Install loader:** Download this module and unzip it. Place the unzipped `.pak` file into the `~mods` folder.
- The final path should look like:
`\Project_Plague\Content\Paks\~mods\WFF_BPLoader.pak`
`\Project_Plague\Content\Paks\~mods\WFF_BPLoader_P.pak`

🛠️ Guide to developing mods
If you would like to adapt your own mods to this loader, it is recommended to follow the following guidelines to ensure compatibility:
- **Follow UE4SS Guidelines:** It is recommended to refer to the development specifications of UE4SS.
- **Filename Consistency:** Make sure your `.pak` filename is the same as the mod folder name.
- *Example:* If your mod path is `/Game/Mods/MyMod/ModActor.ModActor_C`, then your pak file should be named `MyMod.pak`.
---
📝 Technical Description
- This loader uses `UserEngine.ini` to load its custom levels.
---
🎮 **Using Experience:** This loader greatly simplifies the mod management process, especially for players who just want to use simple blueprint mods. Say goodbye to complex configurations and troubles of version incompatibility, and enjoy the convenience of installation and use!
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
