Deathlink - Configureable Death & Difficulty
Deathlink provides the ability to completely configure role specific difficulty, bonuses, penalties and death experience.
In addition to extensive configuration, death penalties and bonuses can be scaled by progression.
Bringing together players from many different experience levels often means that some players struggle while others are bored.
Deathlink provides a way to challenge and reward players based on their appetite for risk.

Configuration
Deathlink has extensive yaml based configuration options. However it can be used with the default configuration.
A visual configuration UI is also available (to admins), allowing complete editing of death choices.
Each of these configuration sections below can be applied to any number of profiles which users can select.
Deathlink selection is one per character and is stored on the server the character is on,a character can have
different selections in singleplayer or multiplayer.
DeathChoices.yaml is written with a full explanation of every setting at the top of the file, so you can
configure it without coming back here. Edits are picked up while the game is running and are pushed to
connected clients automatically.
Settings are matched without regard to case, so files written by older versions keep working untouched.
A mistake costs you one setting rather than the whole file: an unknown setting or a misspelled value is
reported in the log with its line number and skipped, and if the file cannot be parsed at all, the levels
that last loaded cleanly stay in use and your file is left exactly as you wrote it.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
