Damage scales with relative speed. Melee uses sqrt curve; projectiles use squared curve. Mult=1 at baseline speed.

About this mod Author’s original text

VelosityGivesPower

Damage scales with relative speed between the attacker and the hit target.

Formula

ratio = relativeSpeed / baselineSpeed

| Type | Multiplier | Baseline |

| --- | --- | --- |

| Melee | √ratio | Configurable (default 10 m/s) |

| Projectiles | ratio² | Launch speed of the projectile |

When relative speed equals baseline, multiplier = 1.

Relative speed = |velocity_attacker − velocity_hit_part|.

Install

  • Install BepInExPack_TABS
  • Install this mod with a mod manager, or drop the dll into BepInEx/plugins/
  • Launch the game

Config

After first launch: BepInEx/config/local.velocitydamage.cfg

| Key | Default | Description |

| --- | --- | --- |

| Enabled | true | Enable the mod |

| AffectMelee | true | Scale melee hits |

| AffectProjectiles | true | Scale projectile hits |

| MeleeBaselineSpeed | 10 | Relative speed (m/s) where melee mult = 1 |

| ProjectileFallbackBaseline | 40 | Used if launch speed was not recorded |

| MinMultiplier | 0.15 | Floor clamp |

| MaxMultiplier | 3 | Ceiling clamp |

| DebugLog | false | Log each calculation |

Notes

  • Projectile baseline is captured when MoveTransform.InitializeVelocity runs (launch speed).
  • Multipliers are applied only for the hit frame; base weapon/projectile damage is restored afterward.
  • Works alongside other damage mods (e.g. GaussianProcess / UnitRng) when both are installed.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
