unique named mutants
Replaces original mutagenic effects with more diverse effects.
About this mod Machine translation
Replaces original mutagenic effects with more diverse effects.
Named mutagens now have their own special effects, rather than being useless versions of secondary mutagens. (Unfortunately, due to strict restrictions on what effects are allowed on mutagens, some effects are shared.) As I fiddle around more, I may discover workarounds or other effects I can use. ) Please note that this is a WIP (work in progress), so there are limitations, e.g. named mutagens are not affected by synergy bonuses for now. With this in mind, in v1.1 the mutagenic effect values have increased slightly; once (if) I figure out how to apply synergy, they will decrease.
I haven't had the chance to rigorously test the mod, so if you notice anything weird, or just want to note a personal opinion (i.e. the value is too high/low), please give feedback.

compatibility:
Incompatible with any other mod that modifies def_item_.s.xml
Known issues:
Color matching (synergy) bonuses do not apply to named mutagens
An empty skill slot acts like a color matching slot for a named mutagen (does not affect the value in the character pane, only the skill window)
Some mutagens (marked above) don't seem to have their effects applied when inspecting in the character pane (needs further testing to see if this is just UI or they don't actually work)
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
