About this mod Machine translation

The types of weapons and armor and the values of these attribute data are no longer random.

This mod is divided into 2 parts, divided into 2 separate things:

  • Part One/Main Mode "No Randomly Added Gear Bonus Stats" is a script-only mode that removes the bonus attributes of randomly added weapons and armor, instead awarding the stats that are part of the item's definition.

In the vanilla game, most magic and high-quality gear items not only have predefined bonus stats/abilities, but also gain random additional bonus stats/abilities/abilities picked randomly from a large list of universal bonus stats and added on top of the item's native bonus stats.

For example: the Elven Steel Sword is predefined as having a +10% critical strike chance bonus, and then the game will still randomly add one or two extra attributes/abilities, like +igni strength or +bleeding or +piercing or +poison, etc. (see picture), these stats are picked randomly from a list of a dozen possible stats, and a different stat will be chosen every time you pick up such a sword.

This mod makes gear items only gain predefined bonus attributes/abilities.

The mod should not permanently delete bonus data from your save: if you uninstall the mod, drop an item and then reselect it (or whenever a new item is added to the player) the game should add random bonus stats to it again.

  • The second part/optional mod "Maxed Out Gear Stat Values" is an xml/bundled file mod that is just my own version of Gotcha44's excellent No Random Item Stats mod. It further removes the randomization of your gear, so the actual values of weapon/armor stats are also fixed, rather than being randomized between a predefined minimum and maximum (values are now always the maximum).

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
