The Witcher 3, enhanced version, adding fun to the game for everyone

The mod was designed with realism in mind. But keeping the fun spirit of the game, keeping it boring at least, while trying to provide players with a charming and somewhat realistic gameplay.

Amongst the changes to the mechanics and gameplay, it also offers a lot of bug fixes that were needed early on from the vanilla game as well as a massive options menu that can mostly be tweaked as needed.

A friendly HUD is also included in the package, with some modifications and additional options to complement the new and revised mechanics.

By the way, if you have problems, please disable Friendly HUD 3D Markers.

Mod Shields and Shrouds are also supported. If you want to take advantage of it, just install Shields' DLC component and nothing else.

Open and extract its contents into your home Witcher 3 folder (i.e. there is a subfolder named DLC in the main folder)

Open the keybinds.txt file, select all and copy it to the input.settings top file in Documents\The Witcher 3

Then download the translation file from this page, open, unzip and install in the same folder, overwriting when asked.

Optional: I also include a file with a mod keypad for those using joysticks. Again, download the file Optional Joystick Bindings - open the file keybinds.txt, select all and copy it to the input.settings file at the top of Documents\The Witcher 3

Note: All debuffs mentioned, unless player specific, mechanics and stats apply to NPCs as well.

statistics:

Vitality:

Vitality determines your overall health. If it were just a number that showed how close you were to death, it would have ramifications for many things in the mod. The lower your vitality, the slower the regeneration rate of your other statistics.

If you're on the verge of death, your stamina and stamina will regenerate more and more slowly, your attack speed will be reduced, and balance will be just a dream. In other words, kicking football sucks; it hurts like hell and you literally feel like you're dying. Makes sense.

Endurance:

Stamina controls your overall strength and endurance. It is no longer used for summoning signals, but for attacking, dodging, deflecting and counterattacking, running, jumping, etc.

As your stamina decreases, you become fatigued, your overall movement and attack speed slows, and your attack power decreases (up to 40% less when without stamina).

Don't exhaust yourself so quickly in combat by making poor decisions or you'll quickly turn into a corpse.

Adrenaline:

Adrenaline is exactly what it sounds like. It accumulates during combat or upon successful counterattacks, greatly improving the flow of combat if you play well. All adrenaline is lost when hit, but while it speeds up Stamina and Stamina regeneration, allowing you to keep up without having to wait for your stats to regenerate at the normal rate.

Keeping your adrenaline levels high can be a fast lane to victory.

Toxicity:

Toxicity refers to the amount of poison the body can tolerate. All potions and elixirs accumulate toxicity as they are consumed, and if too high will begin to drain vitality at an exponential rate near the maximum. The normal toxicity limit is 50, after which it drains vitality, depending on your current toxicity compared to the maximum.

Meditation increases the poison limit by 20% of the maximum value, allowing you to effectively control blood flow and wait until the negative effects of the potion dissipate, if you do not become extremely poisonous.

Having high toxicity prevents the regeneration of stamina and stamina, but it makes you more anesthetized and resistant to pain while increasing your balance value.

For most of the time, the potion's toxicity will remain latent, slowly fading away. As the effects of the option begin to wear off, so will the toxicity until it is completely removed from your system. The elixir has a high toxicity value, which does not decrease during use, but …

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
