About this mod Machine translation
Improved Spanish translation for The Witcher 3 game.
While The Witcher 3 has a pretty good Spanish translation, there are some errors and the text isn't translated correctly. For this reason I decided to make this "mod" to correct some bugs I found while playing.
-Huerto Blanco: 100% (I hope).
change:
•When Geralt wakes up from a nightmare at the beginning of the game, I changed the text "Well, a nightmare" to "Well, I had a nightmare" (well... what a nightmare).
•When Vesemir asked Geralt if Yen would give him the can, Geralt replied "Well... mmm mmm". I turned it into a "hmm...aha" (um...huh).
•When the farmer at the White Garden Tavern accuses Geralt of bewitching his friend Geralt, he replies "Well, no, if you don't shut up, I'll cut off your tongue". I changed it to "Aha, if you don't shut up, I'll cut off your tongue" (well, if you don't shut up, I'll cut off your tongue).
•I changed "You always call yourself Goidemar" because "I know how you are named in court" (I know how they name you in your umpire).
- After attacking the faucet merchant, Lilac and Gooseberry's mission changed the Vesemir merchant's phrase "You are lucky" to "Foresee your luck" (provided you are lucky).
•I changed Gwent's name from the letters "Tu Puta Madre La Infantería" to "Poor fucking Infantry".
•Changed all text from game "Gwynt" to "Gwent" as appropriate.
•I corrected the snippet of conversation between Vesemir and Geralt during the "Beast of White Orchard" mission. I changed "remember tretogor looking for a zeugl in a pile of rubbish..." by "remember tretogor looking for a zeugl in a pile of rubbish..." (remember Tretogor,
- Corrected Valdemora's Mulbrydale in all text in the game.
•During the "Twisted Arsonist" mission, Willis said "Nothing, it was a little chilly at night, so I lit up the forge to warm up, I got sausages and everything!" I replaced it with "Nothing, it was a little cold at night, so I fired up the forge to keep myself warm, I got sausages and everything!" (Oh, I had a bit of a cold night, so I set fire to my forge. Got some good looks and growls! Grilled some wiener!)
- During the "Twisted Burning" mission, Willis said, "I went out to see what was there, but I found nothing...even though I didn't have a peep's eye, really." I switched to "I went out to see if I could find any clues, and found nothing...not that I had cat's eyes, right?" (went out to see if I could find any tracks, only to find nothing. But then I didn't have a peep's eye, did I?)
•When the blacksmith in the Nilfgardian camp asked Geralt "the password", Geralt replied "I don't know". In English Geralt said "Dunno any", so I changed "don't know" to "I don't know".
•During the mission "Precious Cargo" I changed the comment to "They've made a mess of the car"
•Fixed spacing of valuable cargo in the mission log.
•任务日志中的固定间距闪闪发光的平底锅。
- Missing actions at fixed intervals in task log.
•更正了逃兵的金钱任务的文件/日志(它没有意义,因为它被翻译得很糟糕)。 Fixed log spacing for said mission.
- Fixed spacing in Ciri vocabulary.
- Fixed spacing in Geralt vocabulary.
- Fixed spacing in Jaskier vocabulary.
•Change "Criaño" to "Diosecillo".
For "the desecrated ghouls who no longer languish in mass graves." (Necrophages desecrate those whose grave mass is not already rotten.)
- Change "A hugely profitable action, it must be said" (A "most profitable action" very profitable, I might add).
- Fixed spacing in Lynching mission log.
•“精灵魔术师”一词由“精灵魔术师”(elven mage)取代。
•Many small changes (whitespace, scripts, etc.).
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
