runtime helper

This utility helps create and debug mods.

important!

Back up your SAVEGAME files before using this program!

Plan features:

Visualize the selected game object using a green cube and a help green pointer line.

If greater than 10 meters, the player is shown the distance of the game object.

Shows the collider with a red border (if selected in the component window) and a help red pointer line.

Supported colliders: box, sphere, capsule.

If the gameobject transform is ' RectTransform ', only the 2D canvas is drawn.

Manipulate selected game object transformations: position, rotation and scale.

Manipulate selected collider values: center, size, radius, height, direction.

For manipulation objects, select a button in the "Edit Window" and use the cursor keys "UP" for positive changes and "DOWN" for negative changes.

If you destroy the transform or collider values you can reset them to their original values by pressing the "Reset Transform" or "Reset Collision" buttons.

New blank or TechType based game objects can be added to selected game objects.

The gameobject state can be set to active or inactive via the main window 'On/Off' buttons (button text will depend on the gameobject state)

Game objects can be copied and pasted (the pasted game object is parented to the selected game object).

Game objects can be destroyed via the "Destroy" button (the root object cannot be destroyed).

If the game object contains a "MeshRenderer" or "SkinnedMeshRenderer", you can change the "Shader" texture at runtime (Windows only).

The output window will display information or errors about the operation.

Press the 'X' key to get the mouse pointer (the key can be changed in the 'config.txt' file).

example:

Start the game and wait for it to load.

Press enter to enter the console (the program will enable the game console) and type runtimehelper and enter (the program will start (I hope ;))

Press the "Get Root" button. The main window displays the active scene root object.

QModManager 2.0

Modding Helper V2(SMLHelper)

Install:

  • Unzip the archive to the folder Subnautica\QMods\

It should be Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\QMods\

or

Epic Games \ Subnautica \ QMods \

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
