This mod aims to add dialogue to the Winter Star Festival to make it even more unique. But what exactly does that mean?

🌟Module introduction

Everyone knows the story of the Winter Star Festival in Stardew Valley. You go to a festival, and when you talk to NPCs they say holiday dialogue, and then you go through the process of giving and receiving gifts. The problem is, most villagers use the same dialogue when receiving or giving gifts, making the holiday experience feel the same.

This mod is designed to solve this problem! It provides each villager with a unique dialogue for giving and receiving gifts, making your Winter Star Festival truly a festival where each NPC has its own personality, bringing you a fresh experience every year.

🎁 Give gifts to villagers

For the gift giving part, only minor tweaks have been made rather than a complete rework. This is because:

• Modified strings work with any gift, villagers react the same to receiving a favorite gift as to receiving trash
• Villagers may have special reactions to specific gifts from other mods, these should take precedence over this mod's

Each character has small tweaks to their gift-giving dialogue to reflect the villager's personality, while remaining neutral enough that the villager is either genuinely happy or trying to put on a smile for the sake of the holiday.

**Dynamic changes highlights:**

• George, Haley and Shane won't initially be happy that you're their gift giver
• Dateable villagers will show you are dating (unless engaged)
• Married villagers will have specific marriage dialogue

🎁 Receive gifts from villagers

**This is the highlight! **

In the original version, the dialogue between villagers giving gifts is very simple:

"Hey, player. I'm your secret gift giver this year. Here, open it."

"It's nothing expensive, but I hope you like it."

About 60-70% of the villagers spoke this conversation, with only a few having slight variations.

**Improvements of this mod:**

-Each villager has a specific reaction

• Also has unique responses if their gift requires it
• The dialogue is slightly longer but has more character personality
• The dialogues of many characters will change with the progress of the story and heart level dynamics

**Main dynamic changes:**

• George's reactions will change based on his relationship with you
• Vincent will mention Kent in Year 2 and beyond

-Hailey and Shane's attitudes will change according to the heart level

• Characters such as Leah, Elliot, and Penny have special dialogues based on story events

🆕 New features in version 1.6

New Gift Giver!

Thanks to the Stardew Valley 1.6 update, it's now easy to add new gift givers:

• **Mage**: Will participate as long as it is enabled
• **Sandy**: I will participate as long as I have met in person
• **Krobus**: Meet and participate after the cinema is built
• **Dwarfs**: As long as you can understand they will participate

Tired of Linus giving you a tea set or Vincent giving you clay? Custom gifts can now be enabled!

• Each enabled villager will use a custom gift that matches their personality and life style
• Contains some newly introduced items in version 1.6
• Each villager has an **Ultimate Gift** that may be obtained when reaching the highest heart level
