📥 Installation instructions
- First download the original mod: Ginger Island NPC Overhaul
- After the download is complete, open the folder and find the i18n directory
- Drag the French translation file downloaded from this page into the i18n folder
- Make sure the game language is set to French
- Check if any other mods conflict with the original mod
🌟Mod content
🦜 Birdie
- **Look Choice**: Original, Custom Portrait, or a more "Pacific Islander" look
- **Backstory**: Now an ex-pirate, associated with Leo and the Cave Pirates
- **NEW EVENT**: Visiting Birdie when there are pirates in the cave will trigger a new event
- **Optional Module**: Can be used with Complement Birdie to make Birdie an NPC with a complete daily life
🐌 Professor Snail
- **NPCization**: After completing the museum collection, he will leave his desk and act normally on the island
- **Look Choice**: Original or a more "Pacific Islander" look
- **Dialogue Optimization**: More dialogue about islands, parrots and history, more like scientists than tomb robbers
- **Gender Selection**: Choose between a male or female version of Professor Snail

⚠️ Known issues
- Sometimes it is necessary to reload the game for Professor Snail to start the NPC routine, otherwise two Professor Snails may appear
- If you install this mod after watching the Leo incident and going to Pelican Town, Leo may restart his original daily life on the island

Install & use Install: SMAPI mod (Stardew Valley standard)
- Install SMAPI first (Stardew Valley's mod loader): download it from smapi.io, run 'install on Windows.bat' and pick your game folder.
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and find the folder that contains manifest.json — that folder is the mod.
- Copy that whole folder into Stardew Valley/Mods/.
- Launch the game through SMAPI (run StardewModdingAPI.exe or set it as the launch option). The console before the title screen lists each mod's load result.
Cheat-style tools may not need SMAPI — unzip and run them as the readme describes. Back up your save before editing it; SMAPI lists failed mods in its console.
