About this mod Machine translation
As you walk around the corners of Windhelm, there are objects that suddenly disappear from view, breaking your immersion. This mod fixes them.
What is the glitch, what this mod does is:
As you pass a certain corner of the road near Windhelm Smith's Blacksmith, you'll notice that the roof (of the Temple of Talos) suddenly removes itself, eventually disappearing from view.
This happens because the flat marker on the Windhelm Blacksmith may be larger than the actual building, and the marker may de-render objects behind the Windhelm Blacksmith as you get closer to this building.
This mod fixes this glitch by slightly reducing the size of the flat markers on the Windhelm blacksmith so that they fit better.
There is another kind. You'll have the same problem with the raven-shaped statue in the upper right corner of Windhelm Gate when you're in front of the King's Palace. This is due to an incorrect marking of the Candlehearth Hall floor plan. So I solved it too.
Require:
It is recommended to use the latest version of Skyrim SE (1.5.97+). But in theory it should work with any version including 1.5.80.
Free script.
No SKSE required.
Performance issues:
In theory, yes. But this is actually a difference of less than 0.1 fps.
Because this mod says: In Windhelm you render more objects than the original environment.
These extra renderings are the focus of this mod, and what vanilla Skyrim is supposed to do.
compatibility:
Compatible with almost all mods.
Compatible with SMIM.
Compatible with Retexture Mods.
Compatible with city overhaul mods that do not change the original positions of vanilla buildings
-More specifically, Windhelm Blacksmtih and Candlehearth Hall.
Compatible with JK's Skyrim/JK's Windhelm.
*Open Cities Skyrim - No need for my mods
It removed the roof and the statue became nice.
*In the Creation Kit, the roof still exists, but it never appears anywhere during gameplay, as if it never existed.
This is something OCS should manage itself.
- Open Cities Skyrim + JK's Skyrim/Windhelm and its own Open Cities Skyrim compatibility patch does not require my mod.
The roofs and statues are very nice.
*JK's Skyrim/JK's Windhelm itself cannot resolve glitches.
Things to note:
*If a mod edits the exact same flat mark that I edited (FormID 00038321/00078A19), then it will conflict with this mod.
But I doubt anyone would do that unless he discovered the glitch himself and planned to fix it in his own way.
Some major city overhaul or Windhelm overhaul aimed at redesigning the entire city fabric might do that, but I'm not sure.
If this mod doesn't resolve the glitch and you think it's due to a mod conflict,
Then you will see which combination of on/off states of the suspect mod will fix the glitch on its own.
*Let me know if there are other similar disappearing glitches in Skyrim so I can fix it for them too.
*However, if they are derived from other mods or console cheats, I may not be able to fix them.
For example - JK's Skyrim added gun barrels to one of the corridors in Windhelm, and when you round the corner of that corridor, they disappear.
I actually made a patch for this barrel, but, you know, this isn't vanilla Windhelm anymore, so I probably won't add the others even if they are found.
If desired, you can do it yourself using the Creation Kit. It's not that complicated to find out which flat marker controls the non-rendering and resize it to your liking, or if you know your PC can handle it, just delete it.

What is the glitch and What this mod does:
When you pass through a certain corner of the road near Windhelm Blacksmith, you'll find that this roof(of Temple of Talos) suddenly dismantles itself and eventually disappears from your view.
This happens because the plane marker on Windhelm Blacksmith, which is supposed to un-render the objects behind Windhelm Blacksmith when you are near this building, is wrongly big compared to the actual building.
This mod fixes this glitch by slightly …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
